Forget it, I had to retire as I couldn't keep up with the knowledge base here. |

"just curious to how many people who keep the virus forum going are medically trained ??
i ask this as im genuinely interested ..
"
I’m non clinical in my role within the NHS although I am inside the red zone, I am currently being trained as an additional HCA within ICU whilst working my current role.
I did train as a field medic within the RE so have a grasp of emergency medicine and I start my paramedics degree next September. |

"Oh and 58 years experience in using common sense
If its one thing lacking at the moment its common sense... some people have none! "
The problem with common sense is that it is not that common |

Bad news! some of the top selling masks in asda, aldi and sainsburys only filtered out 7% of the vapour breathed out. People are wearing masks to comply to rules and not replacing or cleaning them too, they work well in surgical settings because they are used by trained professionals, they can give people a false sense of security. We've all stopped for fuel and had to unfold that old mask to pay for fuel, its probably been in the glove box since the first lockdown and has evolved it's own eco system. The message is don't just do stuff to comply to rules, do more than the bare minimum that's expected as we'd all like our freedom back. |

Mr is...but he finds the virus too frustrating majority of the time. His favourite quote is, "Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience" - Mark Twain |

I have this friend down the pub that is a top doctor in the biggest hospital... he tells me stuff before it happens and I know everything about the virus. I think his wife works for mi5 , she’s called jane bond. If anyone needs solid info think this qualifies me to comment on any post here. I’m not the media leak btw just someone ‘ in the know’...and surprisingly info above is actually partly true! Punch me in the stomach...full of fish! |

"20+ years in medicine and I still can’t fix stupid!
Try duck tape, it can't fix it but it can shut it up.
Ha ha tapes are getting better nowadays "
Still allergic to most of it, yes, including everyone's favourite micropore tape. It's brilliant to see the panic when cannulation is required but I'm allergic to the sticky stuff. I have expensive taste - OpSite is fine |

I was trained (not in the UK) as a combat medic first then did the special medic ops course. Together with that we had to sit our EMT exams and be prepared to deploy with any branch of the army being it airborne or regular infantry. Unfortunately, that's where it ends as it has absolutely nothing to do with viruses |

What I know about viruses I could write in the back of a postage stamp... But I've heard Facebook is an excellent reference source |

Physician with a doctorate in respiratory epidemiology.
Dealing with respiratory problems for 20 years; and worried what I’ll be dealing with (and how many ICU beds we’ll have left) when I’m running the acute medical take in a couple of weeks’ time. |
