I can't see how there could be to be honest because even just holding a piece of paper in front of your face will catch an amount of particles that otherwise would of reached further so that in it's self has reduced the possibility of transmission   |

If masks have no impact on transmission of infections then why tf have surgeons and dentists been wearing them for 100+ years?

I doubt it and I don't know why you'd expect to find one.
However ... when you look at the studies carefully, yes, masks reduce the transmission rate but the effect compared to no masks is not as dramatic as many people believe.
Social distancing is the most important measure followed by avoidance of transmission by fomites. |

Indeed but the distance most probably required to have a truly effective social distancing measure is that big you might as well go down the lockdown route because hardly any indoor venue could maintain an effect one. |

It's better to look for the evidence that appropriate mask use helps to reduce infection levels. I didn't see a UFO last night but it's not great evidence that alien craft don't exist and visit us.
I'm happy to make a tiny investment of effort and money to wear a mask indoors at least, to prevent transmission, should I become infected and not know. |

TLDR: wearing mask reduces viral load and may mean you only get asymptomatic Covid.
