I'm really glad I didn't vote for any of the governments making a hash of this pandemic. I can see there will be more and more demonstration about all the restrictions which will obviously help spread the virus. I feel it's such a shame that the whole of the UK is not working as one and they all should of acted earlier then maybe this second wave wouldn't have been so bad. Before anyone has a go at me this is my opinion nothing more |

Agreed, there should be a coherent strategy.
Boris dragged the UK out of the EU and seems intent on dragging England out of the UK
If he were PM of an african nation the US would fund a group to oust the little dictator. |

To be fair the UK voted to leave the EU and Boris wasn’t PM at that point. (I didn’t vote for Brexit) |

It's a really tricky situation and I can see both sides of the argument which makes it difficult. I understand why we should be working as one as a country and all be in the same boat but I also see somebody that say lives in Cornwall, who has had no cases for weeks would be upset and feel hard done by if they were also having to go in to full lockdown. I think all any of us can do is just understand that this situation is out of our control and we only can control our own actions and take responsibility for ourselves and our community. |

Boris took is out of the EU because that's what was voted for. Two PMs before his tenure are responsible for that.
I strongly suspect every government in the world is suffering from people who are smart after the event, or simply don't understand what a challenge it is to deal with a situation no one has ever had to deal with before, telling them they've fucked it up.
I wouldn't want to be an elected leader of any party, in any country in the world right now.

Why would there be a plan before you knew which way the vote was going?
Notwithstanding you have to negotiate against a group of people who put nothing but barriers in the way because they don't want you to leave, plus getting agreement from every other member nation. And of course, those negotiations don't start until you've decided to leave.
It's like negotiating a divorce. You don't start negotiating the terms of the divorce when you're happily married.
I don't understand what people don't understand about this.

My divorce took 18 months and we were only arguing over the dogs.
You can't just wave a wand and agree a deal with these people. Especially when they don't want a deal to be done.
I suspect they know once we're out out there's a few other country's that'll also want to get out. They won't want that for sure.
I'd hazard a guess and say Covids thrown a few spanners in the works too.

I think leaving the EU is a little more complex than fighting over a dog or whatever your prized possession might have been, 65million mouths to feed vs a dog mmmmm
No business would even have contemplated getting to within a few weeks of a no deal brexit without plan a,b and c but they simply haven't been told what to expect other than the border has moved to Kent.
Im completely amazed that even the most hard line brexiteers can't see what's possibly coming but there you go, obviously I overestimated their intelligence once again.

It's appropriate with devolved powers that the administrations with them be allowed to use them, as their electorates have voted for them to do so.
It's certainly easier if all states have matched strategies but there's seemed to have been minimal involvement by Johnson Cummings with the rest. And the health experts somewhat ignored too.
I'm still not comfortable that we've learned as much as we could have done from the first few months of this, as London has resisted evaluation. We've again been too slow to respond to the major surges in infection levels, which we did in March too.
London is still very light on communication, which suggests that they are potentially not in control or know what they are doing |
