Short term aim slow down the increase, killing off mainly the sick & elderly makes sense as they are no longer big consumers nor add overall to the working population. Midterm aim zero population increase year on year. Long term maybe even a decrease of a few billion.

Contained chaos is probably better than it leaking everywhere. People who don't want to feel the force, can stay away from Virus and Politics forum areas, once they've had a taste.
Most people aren't ranting and there's some good sharing of opinion. It's up to each of us to be responsible and to be respectful of others, as this is a space for all and not just those who agree with us. |

I think the mucking about was more about how much of the chatter is clearly bonkers; conspiracy theories, people trying to find ways around the Covid secure rules etc. There has to be steam let off, even about a pandemic virus. It's not going away anytime soon, so we'll have to learn to manage it in lots of ways, including in our humour and jokes. |
