I live bang in the middle of Northumberland, where the county council leader and the nearby authorities council leaders wrote to the government 2+3 weeks ago asking for powers to lockdown, which were granted. Now the government has usurped these leaders and introduced harsher lockdown rules and they are whinging their tits off. A bunch of self serving clowns. Newcastle city council, where disabled drivers now have to pay to park. Northumberland CC had to disband its own development arm ARCH because of largesse, it's replacement ADVANCE is now in trouble yet these clowns believe they know what is best for everyone. Rant over |

Me too lets be honest if someone can pay for a car they can contribute a little bit in parking charges to struggling councils. |

Yep same with Durham. Huge areas, very much a rural county. Feels like they want to swing it round later and blame the government to then get reelected next time round. Hoping we all forget how generally inept they are. |

The joke is the promice to "level up Britain". Its always the same old former industrial areas constantly hit. Lower life chances throughout. Lower aspirations. A culture of why bother trying based on successive failures from Government (as an entity not the dominant parties at each time). |
