Personally, not a jot.

However, imminent weddings (from Monday), my heart goes out to you.

Six new/tighter restrictions:

*Tighter rule of 6 (increase fines). Weddings now 15.

*Work from home if you can (aimed at office workers).

*Business must be covid secure.

*Increase use of masks.

*Pubs, bars, restaurants, mask up until sat down, table service only, 10pm curfew.

*Cancellation of 1 October relaxations.

Do you think yesterday's experts' briefing was to make us fear the worst and then welcome in new restrictions?

Most likely, I don't see why they made a point about how bad it could get so quickly and then today just tweak the rules a tiny bit.

Nothing has really changed and nothing I can see them changing will have much of an effect on future infections...

Just had the call from work, office shut for the foreseeable future and work from home.

Was expecting it after Gove was in the news this morning, giving us a bit of a preview of the Government’s plans.

Not much will change. You may have to leave the pub or restaurant a bit earlier and people working in retail will now HAVE to wear a mask but apart from everyday life, it's pretty much same as pre statement. Considering how much fuss has been made about the scientific statement yesterday its a pretty slack update. See what he says tonight. Obviously they can't be that worried as we'd all have more restrictions put on us.

I wonder if bojo will emphasise enforcement, such as military, when he addresses the public. I can only imagine that usage would be for huge raves.

I haven’t been to the office since mid March - my team are in brum and I am a remote worker anyway.

So my company had a no travel except or extremely emergencies between sites and had to be signed off at senior level

So for me working from home is whilst not great it does mean I don’t have to go to the office and don’t feel obliged to now

I am hoping this wedding issue is resolved by June next year as brother is getting married next year

Other than football test events have closed so doubt I will be in a ground in next 6 months

Not at all.

When restrictions started to be lifted at the end of the lockdown and people were asking each other how they had coped during that time and were talking about how hard they found it, etc. I sighed. Why? Because that has been, more or less, my life for over 10 years. And it still is.

It’s sad to hear that but somehow I sympathise with that feeling as being in a sexless marriage for several years now definitely makes you feel like in a permanent lockdown

No change to the last few months really. Continue to work from home, but as I've not been going to pubs and restaurants, keeping out of shops as much as possible, little effect at all.

I do feel for the local highstreets though as pre covid I would have bought lunch or something else more often than not. Working from home made me realise how much I didn't actually need to buy, and can't see myself changing the current spending habits. Even taking a flask out if I'm off for a stroll rather than queue at a cafe/coffee shop.

This is all part of the their plan destroy small to medium sized business and make more ppl relaying on the state. All over something less infectious and deadly that standard flu. We are being 100% lied to. Covid is being used to bring in more draconian laws over us all by a tiny few.....the scum that control the media all politicians. We all need to say no to their plans otherwise we are in big trouble. If you what to know who controls you look at who you can't criticise....Do your research and if you do you will NOT TAKE THE VACCINE. Which is what this is going to come down too

Hopefully not a lot, but I know some forges can't get some types of steel from the Mills and their suppliers. Also have some items from stuck at sea.

I think what happens elsewhere will affect us more than Bonkers Boris and his lockdown measures, China seems to be struggling but of course they say all is good there. Problem is that they can't hide lack of supply from the rest of the world for much longer.

They are lieing about everything. They are testing more ppl so looks like more ppl have it but what their not telling u is they are testing for the genetic material of a Corona virus NOT covid 19 and anyone who's had a cold or flu (both coronavirus) recently will FAIL the test so it looks like they have it. If ppl don't want to admit that the government and mainstream media are lieing to them then what does truth matter as u won't believe it unless it comes from them. Stop trusting ur government and maybe look at your fellow members of the public trying to help. If you still believe the covid scam to on bitchute and watch 'plandemic indoctrination ' that explains the whos and whys. If more ppl are reliate on government when it's gets more draconian you either comply or don't receive your tiny payment to live off. They control the money and create it outta nothing ffs. The next six months will be no different than the last six months.... at home, leave to do a weekly food shop combined with a weekly walk. The only difference is the lad goes to school, whilst I try to find work.

I’m grateful I got to catch up with my parents in the summer, but do not imagine seeing them until next spring at the earliest.

I’ve gotten quite used to hermit life

Oh boy

Lying about WHAT?

Yes we know they are testing for the genetic material of a corona virus, covid 19.

Influenza are NOT corona viruses.

Not ALL colds are corona viruses.

I believe in quality, peer reviewed research (global).

A capitalist democratic country will not have a govt who wants people on benefits. More workers mean more tax payers means more money. If money is created out of nothing I think the pound would be devalued (but I don't work in finance).

So stop with the claptrap.

Yes every Western government is in 'lockstep' as rockerfeller called it. All reading off same script. It's a plan now in full action against us. They even done a table top practice for what's happening with 'event 201' back in october. If you put the deadly 'virus' to one side and look at action against the people it is starting to look like a global communist takeover. I've been researched this since March and have called it exactly how it's playing out. When you know where they want to take this you know what's going to happen. It's problem reaction solution. Government create the problem intentionally so public will react ask for government to do something then government bring forward the solution (vaccine) which is what they wanted all along but wouldn't have been able to force on public without the problem (covid19) and just a footnote Bill gates is up to his neck in this whole situation with every vaccine company having connections to him. He believes in eugenics and has said he can get world population down by 15%. I'm only trying to help cos most people don't know this stuff. This is all true but go and check for yourself. Or just stick your head back in ground and believe the flu should destroy the world

It won't make a difference to Scouse his company have great rules and procedures in place and we aren't bothered about the pub at the moment.

I'm hoping my work will back off and leave me working from home lol

Only time things will become really hard for us is if we aren't able to go between the 2 houses...

I think Whitty and Vallance were set up. Whitty was nervous and Vallance laboured over the point of the graph NOT being a prediction (raising alarm bells to me). It was if he didn't want to present the graph. He could have merely stated it was the worst case scenario.

"Yes every Western government is in 'lockstep' as rockerfeller called it. Or just stick your head back in ground and believe the flu should destroy the world "

Oh yeah. Let me tell you something mate. The steel beams of the world trade center were coated in fire retardent and weren't just melted but they were vaporised. A hydrocarbon fire burns at 1500 degrees and steel melts at over 2000 degrees. Melted orange metal poured out the corner of the tower but jet fuel can't melt girders. NIST said it was aluminium but aluminium does not melt orange. First responders had nanotubes in their lungs. Nanotubes are only formed at temperatures above 2000 degrees. WTC 7 fell at 9.8m per second squared. The same rate as freefall despite tons of reinforced concrete below it. It fell into it's own footprint, something even controlled demolitions struggle to do. The NIST computer simulation explaining the collapse does not match video footage. The simulation was taken to be more credible than multiple video clips of the same collapse. One of the terrorists who reportedly flew one of the planes walked into a Moroccan embassy alive and well a few weeks later. He's still on the official list.

Only 3 steel structure buildings have ever collapsed through fire. All three on the same day.

At the time a trillion dollar fraud was being investigated by the FBI. Evidence was in WTC (destroyed) and in computers in the pentagon (destroyed).

The pentagon had no bodies. No aircraft seats, no plane debris. To hit the wall without touching the grass the engines would have had to be about 10 cm from the ground. Survivors were treated on the pentagon lawn, some barefoot with no foot injuries. They reported smelling cordite. An attempt at doctoring footage by the authorities has time stamp errors.

Your turn

Your 100% right about that mate! Anyone who still believes the official 911 story there's not much hope for them. People don't care about evidence facts or truth anymore just get their info from the fakestream media and Dr hilary. Dumb sheep will always be dumb sheep. BTW CIA invented the term conspiracy theorist to dismiss any true info leaked to public which was then trying to be exposed. If ppl can't see were being lied too by now no hope for them. We've had how many months to investigate this plandemic. So no excuse anymore. Honestly spend 15 mins looking into it with a bit of critical thought you'll see it stinks n doesn't pass the sniff test. Don't come at me till you watch 'plandemic indoctrination' then see what you think. It explains things better than me. Im just passing on info I've seen which is all true as documents, interviews books are all still out there if you take time yourself to look. Please go watch it then tell me I'm wrong. Think I've said my bits now can't be doing with ppl shooting the messager as if I'm making stuff up. Trust me I wish I was I really do. Respect to you all tho

Why are we bothering with this farce again? Why are we running from this? It’s natural for something to sweep and reduce our population.

By 2050 we will have exceeded 9 billion people on this planet which is vastly unsustainable. We need to accept natural events like these as a ‘requirement’ to ensure our planet can sustain our species. Happens in every other species on Earth.

I don’t think anything will change for me. I’ve been working from home since March, I’ve only been seeing my FWB, my Dad and a couple of friends occasionally. I don’t go to pubs, if I eat out it’s before 10pm and I certainly had no plans for any kind of Fab meet any time soon anyway. And I always wear a mask in public.

I live alone and have felt very isolated at times, especially with working from home, but needs must.

Ok to be in a pub at 9.59pm but not at 10.01pm.

What’s that all about? Covid-19 obviously only comes out in pubs & restaurants after 10pm.

It’s a joke. I get the feeling the Govt has no idea how to deal with this anymore???

More cases of infection. Well that’s obvious, they are doing more testing.

Some of these rules make no sense whatsoever.

I don't see any change for myself except possibly losing my job, as the Hospitality sector business I work in having just reopened 7 weeks ago, is now returning to opening 2 days a week from next Sunday till early November.

Our business has dropped out entirely for October except for weekends. It had been hoped for October to see us through into November in financial terms; quite how our owners will cope is anyone's guess?

I'm making personal provision though, moving money from my pension to pay off my Mortgage and a small loan, thus if redundancy hits me, I can survive financially till I retire in May next year.

I don’t see it that way at all. It’s just a half arsed way of doing it.

If you want to reduce exposure times why don’t they keep these places open as usual but make a time limit per person. By doing it this way businesses are being penalised yet the message is try and get back to work where you can.

Put it this way, from what I've witnessed in my local area, plus from what I've heard from contacts within the Licensing Trade, many publicans have done their damned best to follow rules and impose Socially Distancing regulations.

But some pub chains have decided to put profits before public safety and have stuck two fingers up at the authorities and what's been requested of them.

Add in the attitudes of younger people who seem to have an almost "God Given Right" to a drink in any Licensed premises and get really aggressive when told No!

Or as some guy who last Saturday night rang our Night bell at 2am, and gave me verbal hell for what he considered to a breach of his Human Rights in being denied a drink!

Even when the Police arrived, he was still going on about why he should have a drink when he wants one!

These are the sorts of moronic eejits who have caused the problems.

Genguy, let's take care not to stereotype, eh? You'd presumably stick us in a "younger person" category, yet the last time we went out to a licensed establishment to drink alcohol was the office Christmas do in Dec 2019. Even when out at swingers clubs earlier in 2020, we were on the lemonades because I had to drive. Just because you've had the misfortune to deal with some twats, does not mean anything re: the wider population of younger people. Unless we should just hit back and come up with an "all older people" trope?

You couldn’t monitor that. A person could go from pub to pub and stay the maximum time in each, who would police that? The trouble is that people are refusing to be inconvenienced, they want it all. You only have to drive through a town centre in the early hours to see that all social distancing goes out of the window when folk are pissed, and that’s the problem. We all need to just enjoy the bits of normality we have and hope that if we all do our bit we don’t end up in lockdown again.

Sorry to disagree, but whilst there have been elements from all age groups who haven't followed the rules, social distancing etc, and its been recognised too that all levels of society have behaved, in my industry (Hospitality), I'm hearing that the majority of issues are being laid clearly at the feet of the under 30's who are not listening, or appear to think they're invincible and the Virus won't affect them!

Reports in the press in the past couple of days show that students in some universities ignored official guidelines and partied the night away. In one town, students have been diagnosed with COVID19, are now in isolation and those who were out with them are now facing testing.

So, yes, there are reasons to lay the blame on some age or demographic groupings.

Exactly. Even prior to COVID and to restrictions / lockdown, it has been recognised that the 20-30 year olds are often the more argumentative or often aggressive when it comes to regulating drink consumption.

Those of us in Licensing have to watch people and their consumption as if anything was to happen to them or they cause trouble either on site or afterwards off the premises, the law can be back tracked to whoever served them; we can be fined or worse still, lose our licences.

But try telling a 20-25 year old they've had enough to drink and it leads to problems. Tell that to someone who is older, say 40+, and it's more likely to be accepted.

But once COVID reared its head, that task of saying "No" has become far more difficult.

But try telling a 20-25 year old they've had enough to drink and it leads to problems. Tell that to someone who is older, say 40+, and it's more likely to be accepted.

But once COVID reared its head, that task of saying "No" has become far more difficult."

I'm sure it has, Iain

"Jeez we can't win, us mid 30s. Too old to be the irresponsible young people, not old enough to be, well, anything. I'm going to start saying I'm 21 again

You can be what you want to be, regardless of your age "

I'd go along with that theory but if only I could persuade my ageing, aching and creaking body to react and think likewise??

Round here, Ian, its middle aged and older men who are the ones falling out of pubs, picking fights, peeing in the street and gobbing off at unfortunate passers by.

Oh, give me some of the older generations to deal with, they're easier to handle, figuratively speaking!

,

I'm sure we've all had experience of different age groups and their behaviour, Iain has certainly seen it more than me, because he works in that field and has done for many years

How will we be affected......hugely.

We will be closed for at least a further 6 months with no income and no government help. We are expected to take loans to stay open, which is not going to happen.

However, imminent weddings (from Monday), my heart goes out to you. "

I may have to work from home again which is a massive problem but it's fucking with my vanilla life and responsibilities

That’s been my life even before Covid struck.

Maybe that’s why the restrictions etc haven’t caused me any issues.

Craggy Island

Apart from the club's and the lack of New movies opening up, my life hasn't changed much.

On a positive note I have got a little extra money in my pocket.
