I work in cancer screening and precovid we did 50 to 70 cases a day, now because of covid we do 20 to 30 a day max, many will die to lack of being screened and must be happening nationwide so a lockdown is no good at preventing deaths from things other than covid. We need to look at the bigger health picture than focusing on a virus or many thousands will be dead next year needlessly. |

It's scary to think that Cancer is just one of the illnesses that services have been vastly reduced.
History will eventually show the true cost in deaths, suicides, mental health, loss of jobs, businesses and people's homes due to the covid response.

I see what you are saying and it's truly sad.
But I would love to know what response the government should have taken please?
I'm not arguing with your point or making light of an extremely serious subject or trying to start an argument.
I have gone over and over in my head many scenarios and I'm just an undereducated carpenter with shit for brains.
So if the real boffins and brainiacs couldn't come up with a better way to deal with covid I would really appreciate a constructive Idea.
Once again not being sarcastic or argumentative.
Genuine question. |
