Why still no meets?

The law allows 2 consenting couples to meet if they wish. Even stay over if that’s your thing. Even 3 couples.

Why is the site still restricting meets?

7 weeks ago since the last update.

Whilst all deaths are incredibly sad, more people die of heart disease each year than ever will from COVID-19.

I think because the potential for it to get more out of control is increasing ad swinging to the mix and boom.

Heart desease isn't contagious other than hereditary and of course bad diet and lack of excercise and you can't get heart desease from swinging.

The site can't stop you meeting if you want to, but they can stop you advertising for a meet, and they are well within their rights to, and how do you have sex from 2 meters apart

You are supposed to socially distance when going to someones house. And heart disease isn't an infectious disease that can be spread onto others.

We would love to start meeting but I’m sticking to my family bubble

If my little grandaughter is here in the afternoon I certainly then wouldn’t invite a complete stranger here knowing they are not in my bubble

Still to risky

On covid the site is following the correct path in principle and so it should right now only a complete fucktard would be meeting a stranger lets be real on that.

Is anything really being done to people on here who break the site rules on this though? Well on the people who are continuously trying to arrange physical meets I think its not acted on with any force which is a shame.

People do realise don't they, that during lockdown there was a super massive thread of folks boasting about meeting folks from all over the county in Hull hotels, at the same time telling all ney sayers to talk to the hand.

Can you really trust your meet to be safe? People can have covid and be asymptomatic and getting a test isn't easy.

I personally won't meet at min, I work with v vulnerable people and my partner has a condition that makes him vulnerable.

If everyone just decided the risk had gone, the cases would be up even more.

If you think it's worth the risk with a stranger from here then go for it, but I think fab is being v sensible.

Trust is irrelevant tbh. It's not like only bad people catch it.

The risk isn't gone, as you say, and spread happens without symptoms.

Don’t worry folks. You can’t catch it at work, schools, pubs, gyms, supermarkets, cinemas, beaches etc...

But be careful as it knows when you’re not in these ‘sterilised environments’, especially in friend and family bubbles of more than 6. It hunts invaders of bubbles only. Look after granny too even if she’s been told vulnerable people can go out and is back working at Tesco’s checkout. Stay safe! Stay alert! Mix with strangers and avoid the virus

Is there only me that can tell the difference between on one hand being sensible at work and when shopping, wearing a mask and staying 2 metres from others, not going to pubs, gyms and other populated places and on the other having sex with strangers !

I am not shaking hands with people, i am not getting on busses with people and i am not going drinking with people, and i am certainly not having ANYONE in my house never mind 6 strangers (even though i legally could). So why would i have sex with anyone ?

I cannot stop idiots and fools doing what they want and nor can the government or the police; just stay away from me and the ones I love.

You can catch it at home if there’s more than 2 people there or if you’re outside in a group of more than 6, but you can’t catch it anywhere where there is a cash register

The status update thing seems to be the new meets page, some folks are up for it some folks aren't,

The 6 thing has actually made things less. complicated to meet within the law,

Its individual choice at this moment.

Even with the case, case, case, fearmongering, with death case average lower than this time last year, things will never go back to what it was a march.

It's looking increasingly likely that further lockdown restrictions are going to be announced for a few different areas in the North East today. One been that you can not socialise with anyone outside your household, neither indoors or outdoors.

I don't give a toss what the law is. If you're close enough to be having sex, you're close enough to be extremely high risk of catching and spreading a novel and dangerous disease.

Admin...these daily posts are getting tiresome! Can they not be closed down once a mod has said their piece?

Fab is a business, its a brand and are following guidelines, if they open up the meets page and it's traced back to this site (not sure how) that's bad for business.

It's not hard to find a meet within this site, one page of a forum isn't going to change your life.

O o O oo

Many posts asking for meets, (social or for sex ) have been removed from the forum with little fuss already as they are not allowed on the forum.

Asking for social meets on a status is allowed assuming you are sticking to the Gov guidelines, for example your area does not have different measures that don't allow it

Admin also deal with reports of people asking for sex meets on the site, you just won't see a big blue siren on the persons profile highlighting it.

If you see anyone breaking a rule on the site, be that for this or anything else, report and let Admin decide what is the right thing to do with it.

It might not be what you want to happen ( most people seem to want the profile thrown off the site ) but depending on the rule break everyone is allowed a chance, if they were chucked off for a first offence then half of the forum posters would have been chucked off by now for a ban.

If you scroll down on this link you will find the following

https://www.fabswingers.com/forum/feedback/1026660

Just a quick update on this.

If you are following the local Covid-19 guidance in your country/locality (as some rules are very location specific), as per our post above, that is OK.

This continues to be the case as governments update their guidelines. If you are choosing to meet in a way that follows the guidance at that time, there is no problem.
