If you are referring to the people that were quarantined on the wirral, ppe was used and they were isolated. How many positive cases came out of that group? I know the answer do you?

You can not stop covid without basically imprisoning people + populations. Look at New Zealand Or our own Isle of Mann. They are basically imprisoned on their rock. They can delay the virus but how long can they keep people contained? And at what point does the cure become worse than the issue?

a town called malice

Closing borders doesn’t work, look at New Zealand, they closed their borders got the cases to zero and as soon they open up again the case rise

NEWS FLASH !!!!

YOU DO NOT GET RID OF A PANDEMIC BY CLOSING BORDERS

Speaking from the position of being a resident on the Isle of Man I'd have to say that I don't believe anyone here has the feeling that they are "imprisoned on a rock" as an earlier contributor to this post stated. We have been Covid free here for 110 days now and since June there is no social distancing or masks etc and everywhere is open as normal.

We are of course fortunate to live on a small island with its own Government which is able to make its own decisions independent of any made in the UK and the decision made to close our borders early March has proven to be a very wise one.

We can travel off island if we wish but it is difficult to return here without filling out forms and self isolating for 14 days on return.

We do not therefore feel "imprisoned" but are instead grateful for our Government here being able to, and wise enough, to close down our borders with the rest of the UK at a very early stage of this pandemic.
