So there is definitely a segment of society that is growing fighting back against all this.

No one from the protest actually has covid as im in the same group as most of them and no one has reported of having any symptoms infact non of them have gone to get a test. So you can blaim the higher rate of cases on the people that wear masks that willy nilly go for a test as soon as they sneeze. Dont worry you can all hate on the people fighting back as much as you like, we will still fight for your rights before its too late. P.s to the guy saying "david icke followers" this has nothing to do with david icke sure yeah he was one of the people invited to speak last time but there is hundreds of doctors amd nurses the world over bringing their own data and arguments against the measures being taken being way out of context to whats actually happening. I believe there is going to be a dozen or so of these doctors and experts speaking on the 19th. So yeah keep peddling your own little narrative that anyone thats fighting back against this nonsense as "david icke conspiracie nuts" thats fine even though its nonsense. We will still fight for your rights too.

David icke isnt a speaker on the 19th, i dont even know if hes attending or not as i dont follow david ickes. I do know that the speakers invited on the 19th will be mostly health professionals and doctors speaking out against whats going on, bringimg their own data and own experiences so feel free to ignore it or discount it. Switch on your bbc and lap up that juicy fear mongering narrative and hide away. Again we wil be fighting for your rights too whether you want it or not.

"Its a pre warning to us all to get our shit together and abide by the rules, If we don't then he's prepared to limit our Xmas gatherings. And if we don’t comply, it will be all our own fault if christmas is cancelled. This is insane. When are people going to start saying - “this has gone too far“? Many are saying its gone to far. Couple weeks ago a protest in london reached nearly 40,000 and the one planned for the 19th at Trafalgar square is expected to double that with lots of doctors and health care histle blowers on the roster as speakers. So there is definitely a segment of society that is growing fighting back against all this. We know how you Covid deniers like a percentage, that exaggerated'segment of society' accounts for about 0.06% of the population, six hundredths of one percent. Ftfy.. You can ftfy all you want. Not every single person from all over the UK can get to london or it would be 10x that number and if you look at all the various protests around the world this past month you will see that the numbers are hugeee and only growing daily as the more shit our goverments try to pull." Been there mate, at the very front of the stop the war march and that alone was in the actual hundreds of thousands in London.. I think there will be a different approach in relation to the one on the 19th but I hope it's peaceful..

Tell the government “this has gone too far”! It's not gone nearly far enough. People have been given enormous leniency when being politely asked to do the right thing. At every step a significant part of the population has proved they cannot be trusted to do the right thing on their own. The excuses ranging from poor to farcical. Now they are going to have to implement stricter measures to force compliance. You just can’t wait to feel that jackboot on your neck, can you? And they call us lot brainwashed!! Society comes with rules. No rules, no society, prison is full of people who felt the rules didn't apply to them, or perhaps we should let everyone in there out again? Surely that's the way to utopia! This particular society is a democracy and we vote in leaders not rulers. The leaders we elected are making up arbitrary “laws” with no parliamentary scrutiny, on the the hoof, restricting the freedoms our forefathers fought for. It was once legal to beat and r@@@ your wife. It was once illegal to be gay. Law can and does change. It’s up to the people to fight for what is right, to ensure they change for the better, not the worse." And abide by them whilst they are law. You don't get to pick and choose which ones you follow. There are many laws I don't agree with, however I still follow them.

"I'd rather join a protest that actually meant something and not born out of egotistical selfishness. Im a massive libertarian and have protested on many issues, proud when C and her daughter lay on the floor in the Street in silence for blm alongside many others . Why does this fighting for your rights nonsense always reek of right wing self interest. Who would probably spit on any other demographic making their voice heard. Just get on with it and stop whinging. The govt are shit but i think a lot of these guys who voted for them are worse. Its okay to bend rules in my book and i might not follow everything but above all don't be a flat earth, yob wanker. Sadly i don't think any trafalgar square protest would be radical just born out of frustration and shock at inconvenience and would be akin to edl thugs trying to drown innocent refugees in the sea for patriotism " Well said.. The reason these restrictions and measures are being put in place now, is to prevent the need for a national lockdown. You will always have the odd balls who seek to flout the rules, but I believe the majority will abide by them.

"We are lost with it you can only go to family house if there’s no more than six but you can go to pub with no more then a group of six but there can be like 30 groups of six in a pub or restaurant what’s the difference then. Are you less likely to get COVID 19 from a pub restaurant when there’s people who you don’t know then going to say a family house for tea or a party then. I have to laugh at the BBC this morning. One article gloomily bangs on about global warming going into overdrive and that public opinion says we should ban the car in our city centres. Seems Covid is doing a pretty good job to do that and yet we are being encouraged to return to the office. FFS which is it to be. My brain is frying. I think this is typical of the insanity that you allude to. Maybe it's not such a big thing for a few million of us to get bumped off a bit early. Somebody said on another post it's a horrible way to go, gasping for air. In the end that's what we all end up doing when we die. I watched my dad doing it and it wasn't very nice but in the majority of cases it's how we all die doing the death rattle. He was 80. We all have to die of something. Something has come along and is bumping us off. Can someone please stop this madness. It's a new natural way to die and is the planet's way of limiting our numbers a bit as we are exterminating 1000s of species every day just by existing. Covid is the environment we live in doing it's job but as usual mankind thinks we have some stupid god given right to play god and stop nature and control it.

Couple weeks ago a protest in london reached nearly 40,000 and the one planned for the 19th at Trafalgar square is expected to double that with lots of doctors and health care histle blowers on the roster as speakers. So there is definitely a segment of society that is growing fighting back against all this. So a couple of weeks ago 40000 people got together and a couple of weeks later we are seeing rising case numbers...hmmmmm Okay, so 40,000 people last weekend spread the virus. No spike after the BLM protests though.... Does the virus discriminate between the different types of protesters? " No but it discriminates between demonstrations where people wear masks and demonstrations where they don’t.

Data gathered in the way it is being leads to inaccuracies. Viz. People not going for a test leads to missing numbers. People being excluded from testing leads to missing numbers. Testing only the ones showing symptoms leads to exaggerated numbers. How can accuracy be maintained in forming a true picture of the situation if a lot of the data is excluded. It's akin to concluding that in the 20-30 yr age group the incidence of becoming pregnant is extremely small if you exclude the females of the species and therefore contraception is not required. We need to be more scientific and objective in our outlook.

It's also possiblke for local restrictions to put in place by local councils to restrict opening hours for establishments. BOLTON being an example of restricted trading hours for pubs and restaurants.

"Of course the original lockdown was instigated on the modelling of Imperial college which some would say prevented the predicted death toll of 500,000. We did implement lockdown so can not say if that was an accurate model of not. The best country to judge the imperial college modelling is the post boy of the anti lockdown supporters is Sweden. This is what they said about Sweden Individual-_ased modelling of COVID-19 spread using Swedish demographics and conservative epidemiological assumptions indicates that the peak of the number of hospitalised patients with COVID-19 can be expected in early May under the current strategy, shifted earlier and attenuated with more stringent public health measures. - Healthcare needs are expected to substantially exceed pre-pandemic capacity even if the most aggressive interventions considered were implemented in the coming weeks. In particular the need for intensive care unit beds will be at least 40-fold greater than the prepandemic capacity if the current strategy is maintained, and at least 10-fold greater if strategies approximating the most stringent in Europe are introduced by 10 April. - Our model predicts that, using median infection-fatality-rate estimates, at least 96,000 deaths would occur by 1 July without mitigation. Current policies reduce this number by approximately 15%, while even more aggressive social distancing measures, such as adding household isolation or mandated social distancing can reduce this number by more than 50%. In a nutshell they predicted that doing nothing ICU beds use would increase 40 fold current use, lockdown would reduce it to 10 fold. They predicted a death toll of 96,000 by the 1st July with no mitigation, this could be reduced by 15% with the measures they eventually used. They predicted that implementing full lockdown like the rest of Europe would reduce that 96,000 by approximately 50% Sweden famously didn't lockdown and have less than 9,000 deaths so far" Maybe but then Sweden only has a population of 10 million with a population density of 25 per km2! The UK has a population of 66million with a population density of 275 per km2! The narrative to your statistics doesn't seem quite so powerful now I would suggest!

And if we don’t comply, it will be all our own fault if christmas is cancelled. This is insane. When are people going to start saying - “this has gone too far“? Covid is the environment we live in doing it's job but as usual mankind thinks we have some stupid god given right to play god and stop nature and control it." So would you be ok if half the population where to die It would solve housing and the tragic hospitals would be much quieter

But from all of that you chose to portray a narrative that lock down was not needed because guess what..... Sweden didn't go into lockdown and they have only had 9000 deaths! Its all to easy to pick out a statistical and use it inappropriately to suit a narrative. Thats one of my biggest gripes about this whole situation. People using statistics to suit a narrative. The media has been terrible for it! Guess what people?! There is a virus, it is deadly (albeit not to all), it isn't going anywhere anytime soon and the world isn't flat! All of those complaining about the restrictions are your parents/grandparents already dead? If not do you not give a stuff about their well being? It may not affect you too much but the same potentially can't be said about them.

If you can find a post where I complain about restrictions I'd love to see it. The point of this thread is the reintroduction of a full lockdown. My post is that it now looks like the modelling that full lockdown was _ased on seems to have been out by about 10 fold in Swedens case. Its okay to bend rules in my book and i might not follow everything but above all don't be a flat earth, yob wanker. "The holiday may be important but our health is more important. It's reasonable to think that we're going to have rises in the infection levels and problems, on top of the normal winter health issues, so greater restrictions will be brought in, to suppress it, unless they have new ways of reducing it. The economy seems top priority with schools being open atm, whilst they talk about many other things, including new ideas, to distract from the basics not being done right. If testing and tracing isn't going to work soon, then we will struggle to get improvements, without major behavioural changes from the public." Tell the government “this has gone too far”! It’s up to the people to fight for what is right, to ensure they change for the better, not the worse. And abide by them whilst they are law. You don't get to pick and choose which ones you follow. There are many laws I don't agree with, however I still follow them. " Never done 35 in a 30, or used swear words in public in front of someone who may be offended

I’ve been to two BLM protests, and absolutely everyone wore a mask and observed social distancing as much as possible, they were not in London where the crowds may have been bigger but both were extremely safe events in terms of covid "As much a possible"....that's very subjective...and probably dangerously close at times" No, I can’t speak for the ones in London but my point was they were extremely safe and done responsibly, never dangerously close, and for a worthy cause unlike some other ‘protests’ where people shout about their ‘right‘ to not wear a mask.

So a couple of weeks ago 40000 people got together and a couple of weeks later we are seeing rising case numbers...hmmmmm Okay, so 40,000 people last weekend spread the virus. "But these are not my statistics. These are the statistics _ased on the Imperial college modelling Which obviously took into account the population density etc. Of which I don't doubt. How am I using it inappropriately. They are statistics thats all. If you can find a post where I complain about restrictions I'd love to see it. The point of this thread is the reintroduction of a full lockdown. My post is that it now looks like the modelling that full lockdown was _ased on seems to have been out by about 10 fold in Swedens case. Knowing that now, why would the country go back into full lockdown with all the economic damage tat brings." The country has never been in full lock down, it has had a few restrictions placed upon it.

They predicted that implementing full lockdown like the rest of Europe would reduce that 96,000 by approximately 50% Sweden famously didn't lockdown and have less than 9,000 deaths so far" This sounds like very interesting data

You obviously have no understanding of the issue or simply don't care. It is a new virus WE DO NOT have ANY immunity to it. So you having a strong immune system will make no difference, well actually it's the immune systems overreaction to the virus in some, that causes the inflammation of tissue in the lungs giving the pneumonia symptoms. It's also all those of us that have the flu vaccine each year that helps provide herd immunity that prevents the flu epidemics that we used to have!

They predicted that implementing full lockdown like the rest of Europe would reduce that 96,000 by approximately 50% Sweden famously didn't lockdown and have less than 9,000 deaths so far This sounds like very interesting data It is interesting data. However I can understand why the U.K. government imposed the original lockdown. It was early days of the pandemic, the ICUs were starting to fill up, the numbers of fatalities were increasing and they had seen the situation in Italy and Spain. We are however in a different situation at the moment, the data from Sweden brings into question the accuracy of the imperial college model. So I’m not convinced that a future full lockdown can be justified, when you consider the impact on the rest of the NHS and economic damage. Wash your hands, catch your coughs and sneezes, and keep your distance. "....It is interesting data..." ----------------------- But silly to use that data to compare the UK with Sweden. Sweden has a lot less deaths than 9000 it's around the 6000 mark. The point is you can't compare the UK and Sweden when there is such a wide gap in population size and density between the two countries. It's like comparing deaths in the USA with deaths in the UK. You compare Sweden with other countries of similar population size & density. " Check out Belgium which never gets mentioned which has over 9000 deaths horrendous. A population of 11 million, deaths per million was over 896 which is the highest in Europe again deaths per million. Belguim had what was called a severe lockdown. Netherlands population 17 million had about 550 deaths per million. The Netherlands called their lockdown intelligent, it's all context my friend I have listened to many Epidemiologists such as Professor Hendrick Streek Anders Tengel so on.. Lots of variables I listen an learn from all sources and I have no pre determined mind set.

"Of course the original lockdown was instigated on the modelling of Imperial college which some would say prevented the predicted death toll of 500,000. It’s almost as if the data is being deliberately misinterpreted by people in order to make a point by pretending that Sweden and the UK are directly comparable... The data is in relation to the imperial college modelling, so considering that the majority of countries _ased their Covid policies on it then it is directly comparable " In comparing the UK to Sweden we are comparing apples and oranges. The societal norms and comparative commitment to community and self are entirely different. As is the population densities, transport infrastructures, working conditions, welfare, education etc. It’s either disingenuous or ignorant to compare the two. You can say which.

Someone doing the count must have had double vision! I was there by chance and it was a lot closer to 4000 than 40,000! There where many different groups with different protests! Anti-maskers, antivaccinators, hs2 protesters, vegan and animal rights activists, the free Julian Assange brigade and more. Plenty like me were just witnessing the spectacle from the periphery. All I can say is the mental health services are in need of more more funding!! Yeah right - the whole thing is available to watch on YouTube. Anyone can see with their own two eyes whether or not it’s a motley rabble or whether the place was rammed with thousands of people." Yes like I say. 1000’s not 10’s of 1000s. The phenomenon is called mass psychosis
