So as of 18:00pm Tuesday Caerphilly County are going back into lockdown after being reported the highest number of cases in Wales.. yet what doesn't make sense is that they aren't closing bars or restaurants. I appreciate and respect that businesses have to keep running but what about people's health ? Surely that's far more important or am I missing something here ??

Delightful Bliss

Its spreading at people homes though, when people are not intoxicated they do some semblance of social distancing in pubs and restaurants, in the house it totally disappears regardless.

I think they should bring back just 2 household bubbles again and keep everything open

in Lancashire

It all seems a bit but and miss, it's being spread through social interaction and ye olde public house is one of the main places people meet in the demographic now being most infected..

CIRENCESTER

Must admit I thought the two household bubbles indoors rule/regs still applied - it's certainly the personal rule i'm following.

Obviously slightly different regs between NI/Scotland/Wales/England

My thoughts too, couldn't understand why there was such a push to get and keep them open but then it dawned on me, tax revenue from alcohol.

Central

The latter moves in England have restricted home, garden etc meeting, more so than businesses that were once closed. It's been a general push on to the population to take responsibility, even though the pubs etc were once too dangerous to be open.

The government has had a few attempts at pushing responsibility on to experts and the public, so that likely they can try to be seen as totally above it all, if anyone tries to blame anyone.

And keeping businesses alive and people in employment for the long term!

It’s more of a wake up call than a lockdown. No hospital admissions or deaths ........ it’s time we started to live with it . Until there is a vaccine we should carry on , washing of hands is still the most important to me , and I’m happy to wear a mask ........ (anything to cover this face )

Does your house have:

Sanitation station on entry

Tracing of visitors

One way system

Table service

Reduced capacity and social distancing measures

Pubs and restaurants have!

Can people just stop getting tested? You do realise You are adding to the problem and taking us into a 2nd phase shutdown? You are giving the GV the numbers of cases and powers to take us into a winter lockdown? Just stop the testing and this will disappear overnight! If you are well enough to get yourself to a testing centre then your absolutely fine, stay at home for 2 weeks just to be safe, eat well and take your vitamins and then crack on! You don't need to wear a positive covid test like a badge of honour for absolute no reason do you?? You think spring/summer lockers was bad? Wait until its dark more than it is light, no garden to enjoy because its cold and rainy, no festivities to look forward to, no christmas markets or shopping, no taking the kids to see Father Christmas? Plus your standard normal winter illnesses to throw in the mix!! More people will die of suicide than EVER before! Our elderly will die sooner than they should because they will be restricted to their usual things that keep them sane, like community groups? We need social interaction, we need to mix with each other to get jerms to thrive and stay healthy and I dont need no paid off scientist to do research to tell me that!!! END THIS NOW!!!!!

Its all a balancing act they are trying to keep businesses going while trying to keep people safe.

Lets be honest if we had a draconian govt like China people would be locked down totally and that would be the most effective thing though very very harsh.
