"How do think world beating clowns Boris and matt are doing
Would you put them on a performance plan if you where their boss"
No, I would bring in a couple of experts..Jeremy Corbyn and Diane Abbott. Failing that I would have Donald Trump on Standby. |

They are both incompetent but I knew that pre Covid. Luckily the vast majority of the UK population have been doing the right thing and followed the advice of the medical experts. That’s why in the majority of places in the country the infection rate is low.
Even with the hotspots the countries test positive rate is still well below 1% and considering that WHO states that below 5% means it’s under control I think we’re in a fairly decent position considering the shambles at the beginning. |

"Who never said anything like 5% was ok . So you assume passing on the virus to 5 people is ok .. get a grip .has to be under 1% "
If you feel the need to tell me to get a grip I suggest read what I wrote. I’m talking about the percentage of tests that are positive. You appear to be talking about the R rate. |

Who ever is in charge was always going to struggle doesn't matter who they are or which political party they are from and I'm sure they are well aware that over the next few years every single decision they make will be scrutinised |

He didn't blame the whole thing on care home staff
Yeah they've cocked up a few things but they also did alot of good with the furlough scheme and financial aid in general.
It was a shit situation that most government's struggled with, they are trying to fight a novel virus that nobody knew much about at all.
Do I think thinks could have been done better? Yes. Do I think things could have been much worse had they not done what they've done? Hell yes, definitely. Do I think they are just people who, along with dealing with their own personal worries regarding the virus, have tried to do what's right? Definitely yes.
Just remember, they have families they worry about, emotions and struggles we don't see and are just people at the end of the day, Boris not only had the virus and was in intensive care but his fiance also had a baby which must have been terrifying in this situation. |

You left out the part that they ignored all warnings, you also omitted the failure to prepare, and then there was the mass gatherings in March. The delay in locking down and not closing the borders We have to mention the PPE debacle and then there was the wilful stupidity with regard to the contact tracing app.
The Prime Ministers had 2 priorities in Febuary. A quickie divorce before the baby was due and his second break since christmas. |

You do realise Abbott isn't actually in power, don't you? So it would have been rather tricky for her to sort anything out.

Actually I know exactly what I'd do with them.
I'd make Hancock work as a nurse on the frontline in the NHS without sufficient PPE.
And I'd make Johnson spend all day shovelling up dung in the elephant enclosure. That seems fair, given the amount of shit he's personally spouted.

Bojo would be fired , no one wants a serial liar in the team. I’d move Matt into accounts or stats and give a second chance, but him a big abacus as a gesture of goodwill , some kind of admin assistant role would suit , he’s probably half decent with numbers but needs supervising and a good punch in the face if he lies again. |

I didn't miss anything out that I wanted to say, the point of my post was countering all the negatives.
I will never agree that they maliciously set out to make the situation worse, I will also never agree that everything they did was wrong.
I will agree that mistakes were made and things could have been dealt with better but alongside that, things could have been much worse.
The almost constant hatred some people blindly have for the government is disturbing, I don't think there has ever been a completely honest Prime Minister that has managed to please everyone and that's not going to happen anytime soon.

I honestly fail to see any hatred in this thread directed towards Johnson or Hancock. But to assess their handling as it could have been better and it could have been worse is deceptive. We have the record of events and their handling can judged as woeful. |

Where to begin, not preparing despite having 6 weeks notice.
Ventilators, not been involved in EU ppe scheme despite the invite - then say invite went into spam folder.
Turning to vacuum and digger manufacturers for ventilators instead of companies that make them.
Giving PPE contracts to a crisp manufacturer that doesn't make anything and various other shell and shelf companies without putting contacts to tender, that's fraudulent and actual criminal negligence.
Lying, lying and lying about everything, clapping NHS using as a political pawn then refusing staff a payrise.

So if I follow you correctly, we should only be allowed to criticise politicians if we have stood for local office, or does membership of a party count. What about someone like say, a voter. Are they allowed to express themselves? |

It's pushing logic a bit to expect only those who have as you say applied to undertake a certain role in this case a politician be allowed to be critical..
Apply that to strictly or Eurovision and there's going to be chaos.. |

I see so many people on here and in real life whining about it but they never put themselves forward to be politicians. Weird that.
It's pushing logic a bit to expect only those who have as you say applied to undertake a certain role in this case a politician be allowed to be critical..
Apply that to strictly or Eurovision and there's going to be chaos.. "
Yeah but it made me laugh. Xx |

"Who ever is in charge was always going to struggle doesn't matter who they are or which political party they are from and I'm sure they are well aware that over the next few years every single decision they make will be scrutinised
Boris blaming the whole think on care home staff was immoral.
Instant dismal
Matt should be working in a drive in and dianne Abbott All I can say unbelievable how bad
He didn't blame the whole thing on care home staff

"How do think world beating clowns Boris and matt are doing
Would you put them on a performance plan if you where their boss
No, I would bring in a couple of experts..Jeremy Corbyn and Diane Abbott. Failing that I would have Donald Trump on Standby. "

I’ve been served poorly prepared food in a restaurant.... should I put myself forward for that? Sometimes my hairs not cut just as I’d like it... that too? It’s not necessary to put yourself forward to be able to criticise those paid to do a job! |
