What do you think will happen? I am not sure but I also reckon that the descion about it comes after they had an anti mask protest there, in the report they said it is an area of concern if it would be a lockdown there. |

The Conspiricists will probably tell you that it's 'payback' for protesting.
More likely it will just be the Government helping to keep people safe by restricting how many people you can meet etc.
Of the ones that they have done so far they have been out of it in two weeks.

not the only one.... the council next to mine (south tyneside) is on the list... and the one that i live in (gateshead) is really lucky not to be on the list... we are the "next council" down on the list so to speak...
scare thing is... we were at a rate higher that the greater manchester outbreak but we have been spared.. so far! |

And these "False Positives" are *only* showing up in specific areas, not other areas? even though the same level of testing is taking place everywhere?

First thing that strikes me is it's described as a theory, so to my non-scientific mind, the word 'theory' means not yet proven.
Lot's of 'could's' in the report kinda underlines that.
It appears they *could* reduce the false positives BUT they *could* also increase false negatives as a result.
Seems there's more work neeed as there's a lot of guesswork going on around it at the moment.

The whole basis for the lockdown was based on a theory. It was based on modelling which is certainly not foolproof, especially when there are now questions being asked if it was based on case fatality rate or infection fatality rate. |
