Few things puzzle me about government msg
Kids under 12 can’t catch it ?
So why close schools nursery...
Got told to work from home at start
Now msg is saver at work than home
Then got told stop in
Now eat out to help out
Can’t go see family but can go pub and if didn’t know was going ok
Now got wear face mask but surly that should of been done at start
more people getting infected but Death rate at lowest
Last Thing if we went abroad and dead line 6pm to come back in country but come back at 6.30 does the later plane mean the infection rate risen coz you’ve got quarantine

Regarding the work situation, the govt is trying to coax people back into offices as the effect of people working from home is damaging to economic recovery, as shown by the mass redundancies from Pret a Manger |

So why no news on China anymore like before

Plus if pubs shops can open and scientists said kids can’t get it why shut schools
They scared people so much to confine to their rules now they have they expect to say everything ok and go back to normal
That’s why it’s ok to go work and eat out etc

Government focus and priorities change and the medical evidence certainly changes, as we've amassed so much research data since it started.
It's worth bearing in mind that the leadership is perhaps not the best we could have to lead us through awful times  . They largely keep quiet about which bit of current research guides their uturns by the minute, likely as they've seemed keen to put responsibility and almost certainly blame on to the experts.
They've switched tactics often to get business higher priority. That's so loaded with potential for health coming second, so rules may seem arbitrary, hence you can do stuff at work, pubs etc that would seem banned at home.
They're not particularly very much on top of this. They've followed different goals from the likes of New Zealand and infection levels are rising again this week.

1. Under 12s can get covid but it's hard for them to keep a mask on. But the are lowest risk age group of death.
2. Schools didn't completely close. But the aim of limited children going to school was to slow spread of the virus. Grandparents in high risk group are regulars to picking kids up.
3. Going to work is now R rate is more under control. The micro economies are being hit massively. So it's to keep business' afloat.
4. Again eat out with restrictions in place. Restaurants for large part still have limited tables they can sell. So it's to start to bring confidence back.
5. Pub I agree there
6. Face mask should been from start agree but can't go back in time.
7. Death rate lowest because more people are tested now so those who had no or little symptoms were not tested before so more cases are being found. Also hospital care is better as there is more medical science behind treatment even if there is not a cure.
8. Planes - time stamp is in place, it is what it is. If people go on holiday they know the risks. |

The NHS doesn't recommend children under the age of 12 should wear face coverings unless in a medical setting/situation.
I don't think it has anything to do with how likely or unlikely they are to lick everyone, sorry I mean be infected. As I understand it anyways but that could have changed in the last hour  |

The main advisor to the government said we should not have had a lockdown. He said the economic damage is too great. He basically said we should have let lots more people die.
He is advising the government not to have a second lockdown. Sadly it seems the government is listening. |

Sadly it seems it is too complicated for many to understand, including members of the cabinet. Virus was bad, cases doubling every few days. Without action the doubling of cases would have left the NHS overwhelmed within a fortnight so lockdown measures where richly introduced. Virus has weakened since but we must still do what we can to minimise transmission whilst we also try to keep the economy moving or we are all fucked. |

You know this is a novel virus? Nobody knew much about it and we are learning as we go, so yes, guidance will change. You might have to stop doing things you enjoy for awhile, people have and will go through far worse so we all just need to pull up our big boy/girl pants and get on with it. |

I don't think that's fair, everyone has been playing catch up with the virus because of the fact that it's a novel virus, switching tactics was always going to happen, you can't find out if something doesn't work if you don't try it. I think it's been a shit situation for any government to try to navigate through, yeah, mistakes have been made but there's also been some good things done by the government. |
