I didn't know whether this was more suited to the swingers forum or the virus forum, so if a mod feels i have put this in the wrong place.... feel free to move it
Also for the sake of fairness i didn't want want to put this is the "swingfest" thread because i didn't want to single them out and thought it would be unfair for me to do so and it was more a general question!
so... question.... should those people who live in the "local lockdown" restricted areas at the moment be travelling to these events outside of these areas?
in effect by doing so, doesn't that make a mockery of the "local lockdown" rules...
i am guessing that most people wouldn't really want to travel from the outside in if they could help in..... but people doing the reverse is a lot more vauge.... |

The fact our friends who live in a lockdown area can’t visit our home but can visit an hotel shows the flaw in the plan. |

"If they are in a local lockdown area because of high infection rates they shouldn't be travelling to events. It's a moral issue not a legal one. "
Or a common sense one |

People who do not live in one of the local lockdown areas should take a few mins to actually go on the gov website and read the rules...
Then you'll see how strange these rules are
Added to that - people who are having to quarantine for 14 days after coming back from abroad. Only applies to the people who travelled. So if you live with someone who didn't travel abroad then they can carry on as normal and not quarantine at all despite living in the same house |

Everything is so conflicting it makes one think where they are getting all the fag packets from |

I’m in local lockdown and sticking to the rules, right now I’m only going to work and getting food where necessary, not going to see friends outside my household and have banned my sons gf from the house for now even though she was in our bubble, there’s pop up testing in the town which is doing approx 400 tests per day so that only goes to show what people are thinking |

i would like to think that people would adhere to the rules.... or the spirit of them anyway... but i think its got to the people where people are looking for ways to bend the rules or organisers are looking the other way and pretending its not happening.....
i would like to say civic duty and for the greater good but i fear that bird has flown.... |

People have had enough of being told what to do though, I work in retail and over the last 12/13 weeks have been sworn at, threatened, told the virus is my fault and various other things! At the end of the day we’ve not seen anything like this before and all we can do is follow guidelines and protect ourselves and our loved ones, yes I’m missing the scene, yes I’m missing seeing friends but that’s irrelevant to keep us all as safe as possible right now |

Morality and common sense can't be relied on if they inconvenience some people in any way.
Should have made it legal and locked down properly in the first place instead of pandering to the self entitled twats, which we seem to be doing increasingly. |
