I’m working in the Greater Manchester area this week, staying in a hotel as usual.
What can I/can’t I do? Do I go out at all? Should I risk meeting a friend (socially distant)? Has the partial lockdown worked at all?
Or will it just be nights in, in my already lonely hotel room, trawling through the forums and honing my skills at sexting and practising ‘DIY’ play?
Genuine views and thoughts sought, particularly from Mancunians caught in the ‘lockdown’. |

just go out thats what everybody seams to be doing shops just a bussy roads just as busy some wearing masks some not |

Thought so which seems daft and totally unenforceable, two households who can't meet in what could be the safer environment of a garden etc can sit next to each other in a pub..
Surrounded by strangers..
Some pubs have acted very badly since re opening.. |

As ridiculous as it sounds no you can't. You can work alongside them all day but not sit with them in the evening. The government guidelines say you should minimise social interaction with someone not in your household inside a pub, even if you bump into a workmate. |

in "theory" 2 single people can make up a bubble.. but you still couldn't interact with anyone else.... thats the best you could do......

You can still meet in pubs, I'm in gm ATM & it seems folk are just going about their normal days some wearing masks some not.
Just use your common sense & have fun seeing your friends. Oh & don't forget your mask lol  |

I was in Blackpool for the day yesterday and honestly I felt better in the 2 pubs we visited than being outside on the promenade and piers.
Both had tracke and trace and social distancing was observed .
Now on the promenade and the piers Just wow rammed packed like football crowds no social distancing what so ever.
Very few had masks on, people in the small shops on the piers didn't wear masks at all .
It was an eye opener.
I dont like the place at the best of times and I am in no hurry to go back. |

Yup sadly pubs only allow for the same households to mix technically, it is however not policed in the slightest. |

In Greater Manchester,Preston, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leicester and parts of West Yorkshire you cannot eat in with a friend ( Unless as Fabio says one of you is single and you have formed an exclusive bubble) |

Pubs are open. But (in theory) you're only supposed to meet within your house or bubble |

Wow, Central Manchester is interesting - everyone just going about their business as normal - hardly anyone wearing masks in shops.
Now here I am alone on the 14th floor looking over Piccadilly Gardens - nothing seems to have changed.
Just lonely old me.... |

Centre of Manchester? Don't know. Haven't been more than a mile from home since March, and the centre is several miles away.
But the levels here are very high.
Btw mask compliance in this part of Manchester is around 80% |

Centre of Manchester is very quiet in comparison to pre lockdown, I was out in the village last weekend... probably 20% of normal numbers |

Mask wearing was being done in city centre shops when I was there. I say wearing, if that's defined as having a mask somewhere on your person above the chest. People walking round the hospital this morning with it under their chins. Honestly  |
