Does anyone know the legality on sex in your own home with people you dont live with these days? I know it's still advised but since it was banned on 1st June I never saw anything to lift it. But people I work with claim it was lifted within a week but couldnt show me evidence so just want to find out the facts since I cant find them when I search myself.

it wasnt actually a law about having sex, it was a law about visitors and overnight stays in your home ... maybe you can find it that way, pretty sure the bubble regulations that have come later must have superseded it

It wasnt about sex but sex was listed. But from what I've been told it had become completely legal regardless from the bubble regulations. Which to me was wrong anyway but multiple people had said it

It's all bullshit, if you can find someone who wants to have sex then do what you think is right for you.

I believe you can only have physical contact with one person and they or you must live in a household with no other adults.

sex wasnt listed that was tabloid click bait to sell papers

i would ignore what “multiple people” are saying too its all she said he said

reality is nobody is being prosecuted for consensual sex at home because of covid but if you want to keep yourself right check the current guidelines published by government

If you don’t live in the same household you need to practise social distancing id say that’s pretty clear that sex with randoms or FWBs or anyone you don’t live with is off the cards.

If you live alone you can add one person to your 'bubble' provided they're social distancing from others, I think.

In answer to the question, rather than any moral debate, the law changed again on the 4th July. It is perfectly legal, but contrary to the guidelines, to have people over to your house and not socially distance at all.

Whether you choose to follow the guidelines is up to you to decide. You can either look up Hansard for the PM's speech or House of Commons Library for the legislation and regulations in full.

In terms of risk and transmission something like going to the gym potentially carries more risk than sex between two people. Being in a busy, indoors place with potential to infect multiple people at once.... Is going to the gym selfish?

How about sex between a married couple who don’t live together but have been unable to form a support bubble. Is this selfish? This could be a drop on the ocean as compared with a superspreader event within the guidelines such as a bar night or a gym visit

As soon as orgasms are involved perceptions of risk seem to be elevated and people are demonised

This is one area where the ‘rules’ are very clear ..... sec isn’t essential to life no matter what anyone thinks. Following the guidelines means the more vulnerable in society are less likely to die. As for the gym that is socially distanced so I would think less risky than a snog or face to face anything. Unless you’re talking glory holes.

you are completely wrong in so many ways here which i think you partly knew already ... for example when you say the “rules” are very clear why use inverted commas around rules if not suggesting that they are something a bit more opaque than rules (which already makes it unclear... is it a guideline is it a law etc)

also your post suggests sex has been not allowed but sex itself is not specifically banned... people in a household can have sex, people in a bubble can have sex , the ban is not a sexual ban

people outwith that are advised to maintain social distance but this is not a section of the rules for sex its about distance full stop and therefore also about hugs etc which people are breaking constantly ... my entire facebook thread is littered with people having garden parties posing for photos cuddled in together but thinking its ok because they are outside (and no definitely not same household or bubble)

also sex isn’t essential to life no matter what anyone thinks i assume you missed out the word recreational because otherwise you might need to revisit biology

Yes recreational sex - on a swingers site I kind of assume that’s the kind we were discussing. I guess the key to the clarity is whether you follow the guidelines the reason for the inverted commas is because none of them are legally enforceable people are either responsible and follow them or they aren’t and they don’t. If you are allowed within guidelines to be within 2m (or 1m I forget where we are now) then sex is all systems go if you can’t within the guidelines me closer than 1 or 2m then no sex. I really don’t see how it’s unclear but I then some people with always manipulate the guidelines to suit themselves.

I think the adaptive evolutionary benefit would from those who travel to countries with smaller social distancing limits, giving guys with smaller cocks abilities to pass on their genes.

Against guidelines but not illegal to my knowledge.

We are certainly at the point where if it comes up we arent going to turn down a play session we both want for the sake of the guidelines. We could be in this same position for the next decade or multiple decades. We'll take our chances, life is full of risk.
