This lifestyle is as much social as sex for us. We have made so many friends through swinging and will continue to do so.

The only thing we have changed is where we meet now due to clubs being shut.

I'm packing it in once my current membership runs out . Very little point hanging around.

Clubs won't be back to normal this year and I have been saying this since may. It's already tremendously difficult for single guys as it is. There are many people too nervous to meet and no sign of an end to this. Outbreaks popping up all over despite masks etc. 2020 is a total washout. I have other ventures to persue not fab related.

It will depend on how long things continue as they are i think. We are club goers so a lot will depend on how they will work on a long term basis. Swinging is a state of mind so that won't go but who knows on the physical side.

It's crossed the mind. If it lasts several years as we think it may do then that maybe it lock, stock and barrel for us. The social gatherings may just keep the interest and of course this forum perhaps....we'll see.

We won't be meeting for a while I suspect. Miss the social scene, but then the same could be said of a lot of our social activity! Will reassess meets in the new year, I think.

We are mainly club goers and I think quite a few will be lucky to survive this. We will probably stay in touch with a few great couples we’ve met along our journey so we can hopefully get together on the odd occasion. I think Fab life as we knew it is now only going to be a memory.

its not taken me out of swinging; I think between Polyamory and communication what it has done is increased the discussion about risk and safety and consent and choice. Care and consideration for my family, my partners and their partners. Then again I have would much rather spend time with people who are good at communicating, honest about their actions, and clear about their own ability to be responsible. I like to think this might make for more honest sexual expression from many people . Im possibly a bit of an optimist though.

No, not in the slightest. Safety has always been a factor to be risk managed in this game. This is just an extra factor to manage. Its about balancing enjoying life (you may get run over by a bus tomorrow) with doing the things you enjoy as safely as practical.

interesting answers , yes safety is paramount but as others have said life is way to short ,

risk management- i do think people will go back to the old ways of meeting in each others houses as opposed to clubs, we personally prefer more private meets to clubs - - at least people who do go to house meets tend to be more up for fun , as opposed to a lot of clubs where people are looking and not doing , i do think clubs will have to adapt , but people will in the end do what they want to do

It had definitely changed our way of swinging . We have a family to support ,have kids to look after , we can't risk our lives for an extra dick or pussy. It's not worth it.

Our fate (destiny) may not be in our hands but health is certainly under our control.

Life is short but shouldn't be dangerous.

We had been thinking about leaving Fab before covid as we had dropped off meeting much about 18 months ago, we have found it’s not been the same kind of people on here to when we first joined but we use it to stay in touch with fab friends so will stay for now.

It's a strange decision to make for me. My wife is disabled and is incapable of sex now so this, with her blessing to was my only real sexual outlet. It's hard enough for single men, before and pretty much impossible now. I have a feeling that I had the last sex I'll ever have back in November. I never had a social life or friends to speak of before the plague so I'm used to not talking to people anyway. I'm likely to be replacing sex with copious alcohol and pain killer consumption .

Lives change and we all adapt year on year, swinging lives are no different. We will adapt our lives as we move forward in these new ways. In the last 5 months we've all adapted the new ways. Moving forward we don't know yet how things will pan out. Social aspect to this lifestyle is paramount to us so we can see in some way, maybe not the old way, we'll remain in this lifestyle

As someone said. Single guys face an uphill battle as it is.

And getting older anyway mean my chances are dwindling anyway.

So I am thinking about giving it up.

Some clubs are opening for covid-measures-in-place socials. No play rooms open. Limiting it to Couples and regulars with + 1 members at first.

Issue is clubs are businesses. They need to make the door fee and drinks money to survive and that relies on Swinging community attending.

I really miss the scene and the atmosphere there. Used to go a fair bit. And regularly didn’t play. Just socialised. So do I miss it enough to to risk adding to already rising statistics? No. Unfortunately not at the moment. Maybe in the future. But I can’t see me returning before 2021 and even then I’m going to think twice - if I get an offer I cannot refuse the situation who knows.

No. I will just continue to do what's right for me at each moment. When safer I will restart things, based on my evaluation of things at that point.

We’re not massive players any way but always looking for some extra fun at some point so doubt we will give up swinging just because of covud19. And the socials and people you meet along the way and friends you make away from the norm are great

Haven't you heard: statistically covid particles are neutralised by the raindrops, so dogging in the rain is the safest option for swinging at the moment

No, why should it we have been swinging together for roughly 40 years so why stop now. Yes there are risks but life is full of risks you simple have to use common sense to reduce the risk to acceptable levels.

It's interesting, I was just reading the English RFUs guidance.

At present we are at their stage d, which includes touch rugby games, and training. Including 1v1 tackling and limited rucks.

I know its outdoors, so the risk us reduced. But you tackle at speed and inevitably there is a lot of body contact.

Maybe FAB needs at "back to sex" timeline and guidance...
