Im asking out of curiosity. I fully support Fab taking down the meets page which is obviously the "Bread and Butter" of the site.
Any guesses yet or any news from Fab admin of when they think it will be back online?
End of August?
Sept or Oct?
Nov or Dec?
Or next year?
Free giveaway to anyone who guesses the exact date and gets it right.
Theres no prize really just thought it would be a fun game.
Im going with.. December 1st.

Well technically it can be open now as per the guidelines in England ur allowed up two 4 people in ur house from 2 different house holds
And in Scotland it’s up two 8 people from 3 different house holds

Well the vaccine is looking to be rolled out end of September. Those who are vulnerable/essential workers etc will probably be offered first. Then probably offered by birthday month to the greater public? |

Meanwhile, the government has launched a website where people can register to take part in future vaccine studies.
The aim is to get 500,000 people signed up by October to enable large-scale studies to take place across the UK. |

Well, Boris is hoping for ‘relative normality’ for November at the earliest... I’d suggest early 2021 when social distancing is gone entirely. |

People Meeting strangers through fab for sex started roughly 23rd March 2020 having the meets and events option on fab my guess is around beginning of December2020 |

I have no idea, however I presume there are government guidelines somewhere about websites encouraging strangers to meet, and that is what is causing the delay. |

i dont think so because bumble have active ad campaigns out on bus stops etc telling people we turned dating off and back on its working again now |

Somebody needs to give the FAB moderators a nudge, as they have been asleep since the 1st June.
The Government's Uk and the relevant assemblies rules have changed quite a bit since then. All at different rates.
Clubs are desperate to get back into business, even if it means offering a limited service, such as a naturist resort (Lux Lounge at the Vanilla Alternative ) or just existing as private hire venues (Townhouse).
This is being done with the utmost compliance and safety. So if it's good enough for the local authorities...
Now is the time for the Clubs and Meets pages to be updated, even if that means having one for each home nation.

The Scientists were telling MPs that Covid19 is here for good irrespective of a vaccine as it will come and go and will mutate over time.
So based on that the answer would be meets page can never reopen and this becomes an extinction level event for the human race in time as if no-one is ever prepared to meet folk for fear of catching it birth rates fall and a worldwide de-population begins.
Yes doom and gloom but as the scientists told MPs yesterday we have to learn to live with it and carry on.
And before people say I am saying ignore it and get meeting - am not just saying in time something needs to happen as Covid19 isn't going anywhere. |

Alot of people are meeting again now ive had 4 offers of meets alone this week so far but as yet im holding on but how long will people be prepared to wait? I cant see people waiting unti say christmas they will be climbing the walls and with nice weather they are probably pre occupied with days out etc at mo but when shitty weather returns it may be more on their mind |

Can't come soon enough really, as I have meets "lining up" (for my single profile and that of our couple profile with the wife).

My guess is 1st May 2021.
Im not really sure it matters though as you can tell from peoples profiles/status that loads of people are still meeting and have been since March.
Ive been asked to meet by lots of different people everyday and since my area has gone into local lockdown its just got worse  |

Couldn’t guess to when it would open again, personally we have not used it anyway so don’t care lol.
Totally agree with your statement about meets, we have never had so many messages to meet as we have the last 6 months, especially from couples and nearly every status you see insinuates they are looking to meet and not for a social. |

April 1st. But only a a cruel joke  . Official date will be 1st June 2021. We will have to get through the winter and be well on the downslope..
Or if we give up control measures and allow it to spread exponentially there will be nobody left to infect by Christmas... there would be a pile of bodies though  |

Houseing problem will be sorted and tragic will be light HS1 & 2 will be white elephants and the global warming will start to slow down it could work |

I don’t think we’ll be free to meet others without some kind of social distancing this year. I think we’ll be out of lockdown by the summer, but not free to mix freely. So if Fab keep in line with government guidance then I don’t think it’ll be this year. |

I agree with this...the pandemic is going to rage on until spring 2021, so there will be some form of social distancing until then.
That is being realistic, if you look at the timespan of past pandemics they have lasted about that long.
We are likely to have some form of restrictions next winter and some distancing rules still.. Although it won't be severe like it is now, the virus will still be about next winter causing problems. |
