If swingers clubs were to open next week, (I know they are not) but would anyone of you actually go to fully participate in the activity there?

No. Probably not for quite a while.

We've had infection numbers stable but don't yet know how recent changes may have influenced things, such as bars opening etc.

I'd want numbers to be below where many other European countries are.

Look at September for clubs to be allowed to open up fully. However the economy will be in that much of the shitter no one will be able to afford it. Country may start to implode on itself in the next 30 days. Applied for 4 jobs this week, 900, 1020, 840, 600 people have applied for those 4 jobs.

...I am curious, how does the fab admin know if swing clubs can re-open and open the meeting section on this site...I mean are they expecting the govenment to announce that swingers can meet again...? Surely opening spas and gyms gives the green light to allow swing clubs to open, at least with some protection measures in place...

Fab admin keep up to date by reading rules on gov site

Swinging clubs that are bars/bistro's can open like pub rules, socializing, but no sex as can't do at a social distance, they are in contact with their local councils so follow the rules or lose licence

Only outdoors pools,jacuzzi are opening

So any clubs with indoor steam rooms, pools, jacuzzi and sauna's will still have those parts of club closed for now

I think given the prices single men have to pay I think many will simply be unable to afford it. And while couples and single ladies will be happy about this. The clubs will lose their biggest money makers.

"when will it be safe to go to one"

It never will be - driving there carries a risk of dying (you can work it out from available stats)

The question isn’t whether it’ll be safe, it’s what level of risk is acceptable to you including the drive there, the risk of covid plus the risk of anything else happening there

“......Surely opening spas and gyms gives the green light to allow swing clubs to open....”

It doesn’t give the green light, as you can’t compare gyms with swingers clubs.

A better green light would be when nightclubs are allowed to open.

You cant have any beauty treatments on face when they open.

So its obvious theres a while to go yet.

"If swingers clubs were to open next week, (I know they are not) but would anyone of you actually go to fully participate in the activity there?"

Yes, clubs are open again and social distancing fully observed and obviously quite a lot of changes and alterations to comply with the current situation plus specialist cleaning for the customers and staff. The Gatehouse has been completely refurbished and a variety of understandable restrictions in place.

...thank you, this is clear and answers my question of whether the government provides clear instruction on the reopening of swing clubs and to how the fabs admin know.

Reagarding the question of would I visit a swing club if it were open, as much as i want to, I would not until the track and trace has been rolled out properly

No way!!! I would not be putting my name and phone number in a book that gets handed around for anyone to see!!! That's shocking and certainly not compliant!

It's a bit immaterial really.

If people don't want to give those details then they won't be allowed access to the venue regardless of arguments about DP.

We should bear in mind that this is for our benefit and not something that any venue wants to be doing.

I see that, but likewise wouldn't necessarily want everyone looking/signing that page to see my name & contact info.

Also, I suppose until it's tested, I wonder how many could be giving false details?

I don't really see why anyone would be interested in getting a name and phone number, let alone what they could actually benefit from having it.

I suppose some people would give false details, but if I'd been somewhere that had an outbreak, then I'd certainly want to know about it.

However, recent experience has shown that there are nutters out there whose IQ doesn't quite reach double digits...

Clubs privately recording details for contract tracing purposes is, in my opinion, perfectly reasonable but using an open book or some other means, that allows others access to those details is unbelievably short sighted.

No because the risk of spread of covid would just be to high.

It's not just about catching it yourself it's about who else you could pass it on to.

Just a thought, I wonder if the format of clubs would need to change in the short term to be able to operate, so masks needed and no play unless its within a social bubble...I do recognise that some members goto clubs for the social aspect rather than sex so maybe this could be a short term compromise to ensure clubs dont shut forever. I also know it would be difficult to enforce and that some clubs are already open without following guidelines...

Even walking has a mortality risk. When crossing the road or a vehicle mounting the pavement.

Many reasons:-

Public transport.

They live nearby.

They stay in a hotel nearby.
