I've had enough of seeing people moaning about what others are doing. Whether it's the fact they've gone to the pub or don't want to go to the pub.
Because they've gone to visit family or because they won't visit family.
Why does anything anyone does bother you that much. Do what you want to do and leave others to get on with what they want.
As long as you're doing what you think is right then that's all that matters. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but we all have those! |

The only trouble I have with people doing what they want... is what if this leads to tighter restrictions for everyone, just because some people feel they should be doing what they like. |

If they're purposefully being stupid (like meeting at a crowded beach) then I agree but if it's the fact they're happy to go shopping or to the pub then I couldn't careless. The majority are doing what they have been told they're "allowed" to do with the minority deviating away from it.
I'm in Leicester and we have tighter restrictions than anywhere right now. I see people moaning constantly about it because they followed the rules so did most of us. All I think is this tighter restriction in a local area will put people off being tested. |

Leicester is being used as a scapegoat by the government to warn the rest of us not to step out of line.
The best line of defence is our immunity system, tho we must protect the vunerable and elderly.
Lockdown isnt the answer. |

Lockdown is the answer.
Without a local lockdown you risk allowing the virus to spread to other areas, and before you know it the virus would spread nationally.
To prevent another national lockdown, spikes in infection need to be tackled at a local level. |

I totally agree, I'm doing what I feel is right for me and my ownsituation, it's completely up to people to make their own choices for themselves.
It's not my business or situation to understand or judge, I'm just doing what I feel is right for those around me. |

Some people clearly think being in a large close crowd drinking is right. That’s their opinion as well isn’t it. So do you think that’s right? |

I just want to get out of lockdown and back to some normality. When people 'misbehave' the numbers increase and lockdown takes longer to get out. ultimately more people die. if that's the sake of freedom and self pleasure then well done for working as a national community |

That I could agree with if there was evidence that people of Leicester were traveling out of the area but there isn't, all they're saying is the boarded area is based on people traveling within that area not elsewhere in the country.
What happens when it's over and the people of Leicester go to their favorite place: Skegness?
It could all just end up being a vicious circle. |

The lockdown in Leicester is not only meant to stop it spreading to other areas but, also to stop it spreading within the Leicester area itself.
By shutting non-essential shops, schools etc, it reduces the interaction between people have with each other, which it turn reduces the rate of transmission.
Apart from England, 6 other countries around the world have reimposed local lockdowns for the same reasons. |

It’s a tough one. My neighbours are moaning that it’s all an overreaction over nothing, yet I have a number of friends who have lost friends or loved ones.
I’m thankful not to have been directly affected myself. |

I know people who have had it and recovered, I also know people who have lost loved ones and I personally know someone who died from it. However, we do need to start moving out of lockdown and it needs to be done at a steady pace, people might not agree with it but that's tough shit.
I went out last night to a swingers club and everything was absolutely fine, I saw friends, we chatted, had drinks etc then we are went home.
Lockdown has worked, it was never going to be able to stop all deaths, as soon as covid hit the UK deaths were inevitable. The purpose of lockdown was to protect the nhs from being overwhelmed, which it has done.
The number of cases and deaths in still reducing slowly, it might not be the speedy return to normal that we wanted but we are heading in the right direction and all the negativity doesn't help anyone. |

A vicious circle of infections is essentially what will happen. We will pass it back and forwards amongst ourselves and keep it bubbling away, between the people who have symptoms and won't isolate and the people who are asymptomatic spreading it about, we will continue to have various hotspots of new infections.
The important part is that we protect the vulnerable rather than try to quash a virus (with a lockdown) that has shown that without social distancing it will flourish inside of us.
We can live our lives responsibly with the virus, if we social distance and wash our hands frequently. |

I like this saying "Dont be the cause of it, be the solution of it" |

Cases are going up because of lots of testing, more than anyone else in the world.... |

I am allowed to go the pub and behaved myself |

But in the same vein there was a pub in Bradford with 200 people in it. A lot like that beach down south, what kind of absolute spanner sees it’s already full and thinks ‘ah a wee spot, let me squeeze in it’ there the ones that I’m talking about |

"....Cases are going up because of lots of testing..."
Not true.
Cases are going down in New York and other states despite the increase in testing.
Not great news for some Southern and Midwest States.
In Texas the number of infections have increased, number of hospitalisations reached a record high, daily death rate increased, all of which have prompted restrictions to be reimposed.
Bars (pubs) which had opened up earlier, have been forced to close.
Florida, Arizona, California restrictions have had to be reimposed due to high infection rates. |

If fit and well people want to be in total lockdown, that's their choice and up to them.
But they should not expect others to "risk their lives"(apparently) to provide ANY services to them..... like mailmen, Amazon warehouse staff, delivery drivers, postmen, binmen, drs, nurses, mechanics, tradespeople (when their TV/boiler/electrics go tits up)
Supermarket staff, vets, etc etc etc.

Leicester went into lockdown a week before all the data was collected.
The virus spreads more in warm confined areas, fact.
WHO stated covid19 is no different from seasonal flu.
2019..36000 died of flu related illnes's,2018,50000+ died of same.
Were you locked down then?
Do your research instead of complying to the gov bs. |

Some people clearly think being in a large close crowd drinking is right. That’s their opinion as well isn’t it. So do you think that’s right?
If that's what they want to do then I don't care. Moaning about it isn't going to do anything, people will do what they want to do regardless of what rules are in place. If the rules were enforced maybe it'd all be a different story but they're not so people are doing as they wish. "
Such is the sense of entitlement that some people think that even this is a personal choice, the results of which do not affect anyone else.
Like toddlers, they need the rules to be enforced rather than be an adult, educate themselves and exercise self-restraint.
Quite clearly the vast majority of people actually haven't been "doing what they want regardless of the rules".
And that is why the infections and deaths have reduced.
