"I've had a haircut, only two or three people in there, apart from the hairdresser wearing a visor and me a mask, I didn't really notice much difference, but it is a very very small salon."

I’ve had my hair cut- I agree with the above poster... a few changes but nothing drastic. The town centre had a really positive, festive atmosphere, although there was lots more police wandering round. I will be interested to hear how the pubs are handling things once you are inside. I walked past the ‘spoons and there was a queue outside and a sign asking people to use the app instead of going to the bar. Quite a lot of the pubs seem to still be closed, so feel sorry for the revellers tonight - I think they are going to be spending a lot of their night queuing to get into the few places that are actually open!! |

Had a meal in a restaurant at lunch time with a friend. Felt completely safe. Good covid safety practices in place. Staff were very welcoming. Was great to be served food & not have to cook for myself for a change! |

I had my locks shorn today. I was starting to feel like a Country & Western singer.
Don't think I'll be going to the pub anytime soon. I much prefer a nice socially distanced beers by campfire in the garden.
Exclusive company. No univited gobshites. Better food and no dodgy pints. |

We had a meal in our local village pub last night. It was amazing to be back in our favourite place again. Wasn't busy, didn't feel strange, we had a great evening |

did you have to book well in advance and how did they deal with social distancing? I duno if I enjoy being in the same room as lots of other people anymore as Im shielding my parents but want to see them. The only public place I been into indoors has been a supermarket and pets at home |

Media just can't hack the Good News lol. Even when they set it up to fail by using titles like 'Super Saturday' 'NYE'. Wind the people up to go and wait for them to fail then report it.
Well done the 'People'.

Haircut and colour next Saturday, my grey showing doesn't bother me, but it will be nice to get some sort of normal back. She comes to my house so will be safe, she has sorted out masks and stuff |

It's only a small village pub. What they did was very beautifully converted the conservatory into an added dining area. There wasn't a lot of people at all. They pushed a large trolley upto the table with our meals and stepped back. Same with drinks. We booked online, with all the track & trace details last week. We came into contact with nobody.
I suppose for a small village pub its easier for them to control things. I'm not ready to go to a large unfamiliar pub or restaurant yet. I feared going to the supermarket more |

Somehow the BBC managed to find some crowded Streets outside pubs. Must have been hard as my experience was how well organised it was.
Went shopping in the afternoon, which was quite nice as there were some real bargains around so I splashed some cash. Called in at a pub on the way home and was greeted at the door by the landlord who showed me to our table. We could still get drinks at the bar provided we stood on circles on the floor.
Lots of young people out enjoying themselves which was nice to see again.
Good luck hospitality industry. We need you. |

I was "busy" yesterday. Will pop to my local for a couple tonight. Had my hair cut regularly as usual by a lady friend.
Always felt perfectly safe...be it shops or anywhere else. I will have no concerns in the pub... |

I didn't go out myself but been plenty of posts on social media from the people that did, keeping in mind I'm living in a market town there was allot of trouble, a policeman was attacked, and someone else at a different pub in town was attacked with a glass, the first day open was always going to be bad, some people can't control themselves once there d*unk and will been drinking as, soon as the pubs opened |

Seen lots of feedback akin to prison visiting and extra bouncers on patrol as the sit down police no atmosphere etc.
Think I'll pass until they can open properly, I think after the novelty of last night there is going to a bit of a dip.and more underground events happening via social media. |

Went for dinner yesterday. Everything seemed pretty well organised. A lot less tables than usual, servers/waiting staff all masks up, trays bought to table...you have to pass out food |

I went to the pub on Saturday evening with a couple of mates. Their track and trace plan was pants, but otherwise it was all fairly sensible stuff - people stuck to their table, there was table service, nobody got too p*ssed. Last orders @11, pub closed by 11.30pm.
It’s going to be a case of suck it and see I guess, but I was pleasantly surprised that things weren’t too bonkers! |

Stayed in a hotel near Warrington on Saturday night as visiting friends in the NW. It is a large place but virtually empty and spa etc closed
Had an excellent meal at the nearby pub - had to book a table in advance and no standing at the bar. One way system in place and plenty of hand santisers. Social distancing seemed to work final
Mini golf in New Brighton on Sunday - clubs and golf balls sanitised before and after use. Lunch in Prezzo using app to order at the table
Will head out again next weekend - risks are minimal and the hospitality industry urgently needs our support
Most bars and pubs in central Liverpool seemed to be closed during the day on Saturday as we're many of the restaurants |

I have not been to pub because don't drink so was not my kind of atmosphere anyway. Going by what I been hearing some were packed all over the UK to the point where they are shut again. Alcohol and social distancing don't mix well for some, but majority been sensible with it and taking things slow whilst still enjoying a long overdue night out.
As for haircut my hair has grown long over the last few months! It's manageable and I been told suits me so not rushing into that just yet. See how things go and I can do different styles with it when needed or wear a cap for wet, windy days |
