Meeting now allowed?

Seen as though 2 households can now meet and clubs are opening as bars shouldn’t the option to meet be added back on to Fab?
I’m aware no one should be meeting to play but people aren’t getting the option to meet socially. |

Not all parts of the UK are at an equal level of rules relaxation. Fab adjusts the advice to reflect the official position and also refers us to the government site for details.
Whilst we can have bubbles in some states, it's different to the site passively or actively, supporting users to get together. That would be negligent and just 1 additional infection could result in other deaths.
The freedom that we have may be taken away without notice, as happened in Leicester this week.
People are adults and should focus on the official advice, whilst recognising that the problem isn't gone yet. |

I don't think they have much choice until everything is back to normal. It's currently a criminal offence to encourage people to break lockdown rules. And putting that facility back up again could be seen as just that. I do think however that reinstating the Clubs section should be done as it will allow club owners to update us on their status . |

Definitely should be a social meets button.
We just paid to renew our membership, I'm not sure why tbh.
People are allowed to meet, with a social distancing, feels a bit like we are been treated like naughty children now which is very patronising. |

I’d rather wait till it’s all back to safety to be honest
Yea it’s nice to meet and socialise at a distance but where would this meet take place
In a busy pub....in your own home. In a hotel
Neither are safe justvyet

I respect anyone who doesn't want to socially meet yet. But the fact is, we are allowed, and a lot of us want to. No rules are been broken. If people want to socially meet In a pub - its allowed, if people want to meet for lunch - its allowed, if people want to meet for a coffee - its allowed. We shouldn't all be penalised because some people don't want to.
The idiots who abuse the new rules are already out there doing so. We aren't all irresponsible morons & should be given the choice.
If people don't want to meet in accordance with the new rules then don't. Personally we would like the option |

That's not the case at all.
You can message people and ask if they want to meet socially whether you are a member or not.
Remember it isn't fab that makes the rules regarding meeting it's the government.

A lot of people are acting like naughty children, which is not just selfish but suicidal. Go into any supermarket and you won't have to wait five minutes before someone walks past you six inches away because they're so important/in such a hurry/so ****ing selfish that the rules don't apply to them. |

I agree, pisses me off as well.
I'm not disagreeing.
The topic of a social distancing meets option on fab is the issue here.
Maybe if there was some clarity from Fab, of how they will move forward & what phase the country needs to be in |

You have a good point.
Have you wrote to Admin?
I won't pay for subscription because for £5.00, you aren't able to use all that this site has to offer - advertising meets/searching for meets etc.
So I applaud you for still wanting to support the site and pay for yours! |

We are having a friendly chat about having the availability of an instant search button of who's close & wants a social meet |

I’ve seen lots of posts for people asking to meet socially and even none socially and also seen people giving links to parties and posts insinuating they have just had a sexual meet, so meets are still going on, so do don’t really think the meet button is required that much as people will just post in their status. If you want to meet someone socially just message them and wait for their reply. |

Just to make a few points.
Meeting two families indoirs is ok in England only (social distance still applies).
Nobody pays a membership..it is site supporter... keeps the site funded and running but voluntary.
Obviously some people are already meeting fully (naughty but their choice)
It does seem ok to include "social" meet in your status...seen lots. So just look at who is local as it shows status.
For the site to encourage sexual meeting in any way could lead to them being shut down so dont expect it anytime soon. |

We haven't renwed our couples profile only because we can't meet. Once we can we will renew it. I for one am looking forward to getting back out there and meeting people, even if it's just a social. Also looking forward to clubs, again even as a social environment. |

If people keep an eye on the link connected to the meet section it will let you know any updates. Social meets were covered in the June 1st update.
Obviously different parts of the country have different rules so check those too

One option for the site might be a new ‘eye test’ option
Where users can find and be able to go and see other users willing to perform eye tests - which as we know from their statements are allowed by the government |

Why not try a zoom meeting, as a 'social' if flirting and attraction happens, will lead to play, and you'd be kidding yourself If you said otherwise. We had a very nice zoom social a few weeks back with a delightful couple, 4 hrs of chat laughter, then took laptop upstairs, where we could see everything, and they could see us.. A perfect evening.. |

Rather than meeting basically strangers off here for a social meet where distancing still applies wouldn't you prefer to meet family or real world friends?Even if you meet your family or friends you're still not allowed to even hug,not even grand kids, surely we all have folk more important in our lives we would like to meet rather than strangers? |

Because as selfish as they believe we are, or dont believe some of us dont have family to meet then we lie apparently.
What's wrong with meeting socially for the reasons we joined?

One thing folk seem to forget is that this pandemic which has killed hundreds of thousands started with just a few people in a city on the other side of the world and hasn't "gone away".If just a few people act like selfish morons it could soon be back to how it was a few weeks back in the UK,with a few hundred people(maybe a few thousand!) dying daily:-we all have to be sensible ans swe have to stop thinking things are more or less normal, they're not |

Things are NOT normal. People are happy to track & trace in a socially distancing meet in a public place. We can't live in total lockdown forever. The PM of the country says we can go out (apart from certain areas, I hope those locals stay home, stay safe & wait), socialize & live a little in a responsible way.
Yesssss there will always be dickheads, why tar everyone with the same brush.
We ARE allowed to socialize, agree or disagree it's a FACT.
You dont like it? Stay home & write to the governor |

Can I say, it might just be a walk in the park and talking to each other - just for an hour!
No physical contact at all and being aware of personal space!
I've been shopping for twenty minutes today and crossed sections with alsorts of strangers near me, who were being absolutely selfish about my space!
Can't see a problem with distance sitting/walking in a large space/area away from others in the community!
Am I missing something? |

Once Fab, obviously the be all and end all , says we can meet in person, even for a social, I'll be pleased.
My priority has been to see my family and friends, which I have done socially distance rules applied, which made me really happy and appreciative of how those following the rules have behaved

But we all know there are people on here who have been meeting without social distancing throughout lockdown. If fab reinstate the meets tab, even on a social distancing basis, people will abuse. |

This is first and foremost a swinging site, where you basically are meeting strangers for sex,if you are a woman on here and arrange to meet a guy off here for a "social meet" how many of those guys do you think wont be thinking there will be a chance for at least a quickie?(and maybe the women too!)we do get it but surely there are far better ways to meet people socially than arranging through a site where most of the members are here for NSA fun! |

If you dont want to use a "meets option" in the near future then dont
Why deny others.

Are you saying I have no choice to say NO - or expecting me to shag anyone?
I'd might meet someone over the age of 35, who can keep his dick in his pants. I'm sure his mindset, will be mature enough to know when a social is a social.
If we organise it enough, we could sit opposite and have a drink too.
I'd have something to say if he starts pulling his pants down in public!
Btw: before lockdown it was rare I'd shag straight after it. Whats the difference with my mindset now! |

"From a personal point of view I really cannot understand why it is so important to arrange social meets at the present time. Surely meetings with family and friends etc outweigh the need for any other type of meetings whether social or otherwise..
What if you're single, have no family or friends? Are we supposed to just wait it out too?
You're saying you have absolutely no family or friends? Frankly I cannot believe that, sorry..
Yes disowned for being gay ( that actually happens)
I live in a new area so don't know anyone so you can believe that!
Not everyone has the love or support of family or friends when they need it, some of us actually are on our.
Some of us were rejected for being gay some of us are on our own
Aw man, so sorry this happened to you. In this day amd age as well! Unbelievable!
#loveislove "
It's the fact that when I say I don't have friends or family support anymore people can't seem to believe it because they think I look like I have lots of friends.
I get it that a lot of attached people are happy to wait indefinitely, but when you are on your own, lonely, have mental health issues and can't find human contact due to scare mongering and "breaches" my only outlet is to use a Bloody forum to chat. |

Sometimes Forums can be fun. There are arseholes in every walk of life and Fab is no exception.
I would suggest staying away from the more....'serious' forum topics and go on the funny ones if you are feeling a bit fragile. Or if you like a bit of an outlet for your negative feelings, crack on! |

I am not being narrow minded, and I did not say everyone has millions of friends, I passed an opinion which I am entitled to do as are you. I know quite a few people that have been ostracised for being gay and for a multitude of other reasons, however not one of them has at least one person they can turn too at times of need. |

Crazy.....
We have plenty of swinger and non swinger friends to keep us busy to socialise with whilst this goes on.
If you really are that desperate that you need to be able post a meet, then maybe take a step back and work out where you went wrong in life that you need to meet up with strangers to socialise! |

I don't mean to sound snappy, I'm just going through one of my mood shifts ( cyclothymia) it's part of bipolar spectrum so I get argumentative and snappy for anything.
Unfortunately any friends I had are long gone, as for my family I haven't seen or spoke to them since 2007 and any attempt was met with hostility from them.
So I just moved around and drifted looking to fit in and here I am in Plymouth in a tenancy that I did and didn't want long term but here I am. |

"This is first and foremost a swinging site, where you basically are meeting strangers for sex,if you are a woman on here and arrange to meet a guy off here for a "social meet" how many of those guys do you think wont be thinking there will be a chance for at least a quickie?(and maybe the women too!)we do get it but surely there are far better ways to meet people socially than arranging through a site where most of the members are here for NSA fun!
What we are saying is this is a site for swingers and swingers do in general join these sites for sex not to “go and have coffee and a chat” if you’re not a swinger there are loads of normal dating sites that could be used to arrange socials far easier with others who aren’t on a site specifically set up for meeting for sex,who may also be lonely |

Yeah I was busy with two kids as a single Mother.
Work colleagues are long gone for the moment, as I left work in December, through bone problems in my feet!
I really love talking about my current situation (not), as it always comes across as needy in a public domain, plus I don't want ppl to know about my private life.
Wish either of you two lovely people were single, because you'd find life a whole lot different balancing everything on your own.
Social life is finished when other factors are in question!
I'm grateful to see couples on this thread and to read how their mindset is towards other single swingers/kinkster types.
It goes to show how mentally miles apart we really are and what you really think of us singletons.
Thanks for your imput!
I'm certainly enjoying the threads today x |

No I'm saying I enjoy the social element before swinging, without having to be half undressed...
Can't socialise in clubs, atm, so this is the second best thing.
I can have sex straight away when clubs open.
I've been known to strip off before I've even got to the lockeroom honest! |

Btw: sorry to be a bore..
But my last club visit was January, I talked to a cpl all night, and for fun, asked the male half, if he would be tied up in stirrups whilst I wanked and sucked him off. His wife was watching, wide eyed and smiling.
He came in seconds as soon as I put lube on...
Had a load of fun in clubs.
I class myself as a swinger...
Enjoyed a lot of group play and been to a cpls house to role play!
Cpls have always been friendly towards me.
We'll leave it at that......
I just want to be able to advertise on my profile for social meets!
See if anything changes with Admin and their updates tomorrow.

Aww, our point is aimed at the OP (a couple) and couples in general, we understand how difficult for singles it is, having 3 single lady fab friends we see and speak to regularly although only socially at the moment, we feel your pain.
But honestly if a couple can’t enjoy each other sexually for a year without the absolute need to play with others and to not have friends both swingers and non swingers to keep there social life busy, then something is very wrong.... |

Apparently it isn’t mutating as fast as influenza but the dates you give were influenza epidemics and we do vaccinate against that now but granted it isn’t 100%sure of protecting people

I was just interested in your sweeping demoralising statement! I thought it was for all, as it wasn't attached to anyone's post!
Still though, we really don't actually know about anybodies life, do we, to make such assumptions!
Just my thought!

We just paid to renew our membership, I'm not sure why tbh.
People are allowed to meet, with a social distancing, feels a bit like we are been treated like naughty children now which is very patronising. "

What we are saying is this is a site for swingers and swingers do in general join these sites for sex not to “go and have coffee and a chat” if you’re not a swinger there are loads of normal dating sites that could be used to arrange socials far easier with others who aren’t on a site specifically set up for meeting for sex,who may also be lonely"
Plenty of swingers have socials. |

Most of the self proclaimed proper swingers talk often about how they enjoy the social side of swinging |
