"Who’s planning on booking a holiday this year ? I could really do with sun but don’t know if it’s worth it ? "
My opinion is holiday in this country. And for these reasons:
1, our economy needs it
2, if you get ill, no repatriation necessary (been their done that, thank fuck for EHIC and travel insurance).
3, if you get ill, the hospital food in this country is edible, Malta - the jelly is
4, if you're ill abroad, will you be covered for cv19? Apparently my repatriation from Malta hospital to UK hospital cost 3 grand. |

Thanks for pointing this out. We have a daughter who is going on holiday end of July (she was hoping it was going to be cancelled but hasn't as yet). Going to get her to check her insurance to see if she is covered x |

Still have a 3 week holiday booked in the South of France.
Reading through the resort advice (we have been there many many times) it is looking like we will move it to next year.
So many things that you won't be able to do far outweigh those that make it a brilliant holiday normally.
Even the tunnel looks to be operating with strict guidelines on moving about.
May book another flight based holiday after September.

Bravo
I have a similar mindset, so I’ll only do holidays within the UK for now. |

I have been booked for Vegas since jan and will make the final decision late September when payment due.
I will start looking at travel insurance August to see if Covid-19 is fully covered or if I can get tested to see if I have already had it and have the antibodies that mean I shouldn’t get it again. But I am going in a group so all of us have to agree. |

We had considered Wales or Scotland in August/September until we saw that the biking trails in the forests are all closed. Now we'll just wait until things are clearer about what can and can't be done. |

Book a ticket on Eurotunnel and drive to the South of France. You will find everything is pretty much back to normal. I've just had a week of 32c sunshine by the pool and on the beach. Hotels and restaurants open. Servers wearing masks most of the time. Mostly french, some germans and dutch. You can get your haircut whilst you're here as well. |

PDI in August! We booked it in Jan and it's, so far, still not been cancelled.
Have to wear masks at the airport, on the flight and in confined areas over there but other than that, it seems to be a fairly normal setup. We only need a hotel and a beach |

Just over 30 sleeps for my rescheduled, rescheduled and rescheduled summer trip
Emirates have also said face coverings on the plane, unless eating, and I suspect we'll need them as we transit through Dubai

I made a fairly late decision to go to Indonesia for a holiday in late January, Indonesia had more checks than London, even at the smaller airports. Heathrow relied on a few hastily printed notices on the walls. Stayed on a tiny island with about 150 people on it for a month and felt safer than I did on returning to the UK. I'm pretty happy that I went then and not later in the year... |

Still hoping to get to Cambodia later this year (or Vietnam) I was due to fly out next week on the 7th but as I only book flights closer to travelling date, I’ve not had any hassle with getting refunds.
I have cancelled my holidays with work and now just taking a week off in Blighty now, probably head off to the great British seaside |

Whilst I still have to wear a mask on public transport, social distance from my colleagues, have to wait ages for a bus as they only allow x amount of people on, unable to do karaoke in the pub...think I'll forgo my hols this year and have a couple next year.
Saved over £2,000 in twelve weeks not going into the office, so it's already paid for. |

We just transfered our main holiday to 2021 . . . only took two emails. One to request and one to confirm T&C's. Will take a few weekends in the uk to add to the UK economy and a week or so in the new year to the Canaries.
Happy Holidays Peoples.

Luckily I had my abroad holiday before lockdown. Will be holidaying in the UK for the foreseeable, usually do anyway.
Staycations I think will be more popular now. |

a quandary, could you change my mind? |
It will be nights and weekends away for me , hoping that we carry on with some good weather in the uk.
But if the weather doesn't play nicely, who cares, it's time away seeing something different. |

"Haven’t really been abroad on holiday for 20 years, found holidays in the U.K. lot less hassle and it’s a far more beautiful place."
When all this is over you should consider traveling again, there’s a wonderful interesting world out there. Not just our small island |

I should currently be enjoying my last day in the sun, on a beach,in a beautiful hotel today. I'm not sure I will bother trying to go away again this year.
Have had a refund credit come through however I haven't decided whether to cash it in yet or re book for next year |

The latest tricle of information is for the government to announce tomorrow Friday, which countries can be visited without needing a 14 day quarantine when you land back from them, into the UKm. Possibly the airbridges will come later, as these countries will just be those seen as safer than here. It won't mean you can enter them, or avoid their quarantine tests etc. Travel rumoured to be for next week. |

"Cornwall is starting to slowly get busier ahead of the 4 July...when I think it will be mobbed ..."
It is looking that way . There's a lot of ill feeling in the County, not least of which due to the very limited medical availability down here. |
