Safe Activities in Clubs
Jump to: Newest in thread
Hypothetically speaking - imagine clubs were allowed to open and manage their safety - what could be done safely.......
I’ll start :
Glory holes
Watching other people
Social meets 2m apart
Toys then sanitise

I mean, going to a club and having sex with strangers isn't exactly something that could be described as safe pre COVID times. |

its not my cup of tea but not really sure why so many people are horrified by the sharing of sex toys, the poster specifically said sanitised ... are the people that this grosses out not cleaning their sex toys?
if you incorporate sex toys into your sex life normally i cant see why it would be so strange to do it on a meet |

Ref Glory Holes...i understand that the virus can be spread by saliva so its the cock owner who is more likely to be at risk than the sucker. So logically its better to fuck that suck...but dont use spit as a lube. Lol |

"Could offer hand jobs with marigolds on
Never thought about this before.....but would love to do this
Do it to me. Haha"
So many men say they can't get turned in without the kissing though, so not sure if it would be a popular fetish. |

New York City health department have suggested “make it a little kinky... physical barriers, like walls that prevent face to face contact”
This is the era of the glory hole. Personally not my thing, though |

Ony one safe action in a club at this moment and that's a drink and a socialise with no play or contact
Most sensible clubs realise this and have strict guidelines in place and are sticking to advice from local councils and are only opening within government social distancing guidelines
These will be enforcing a no play ruling and all play areas will be shut off |

I’d happily go for a no play afternoon |

I know some people have their own "interpretation" of government guidlines.....but really?? |

Gloryholes and female gloryholes with latex aprons on the holes, gas masks for all participants, with someone on-hand to hose down the participants before changing partners, and an intensive washing routine for entering the premises.
Seems sensible. |

I think transparent divides between people, which could come in many forms, are the only ways for people to be safer if closer. They would need cleaning on all sides, as ee do with shpp trolleys etc.
Glass and perspex are already used to allow viewing and creative design would allow closer intimacy. Flexible surfaces would allow a barrier of just a few millimetres between people. In essence people could be in different rooms, unable to spread breathing aerosols between each other but still be able to see and gain physical sensation from others.
The closest artificial barrier between people which permits sensations and has been in use for ages, is the condom.
A rigid clear interface, such as glasd, would be a visual stimulation only - bodies on each side would be very close. I'd imagine an 8 feet high :wall' of glasd or perspex etc would be effective at stopping the spread of the virus.
This is the most basic type of barrier that we know and use today. If bodies are very close it will only be good for visually stimulating each person. You have to adapt from this.
Make some or all parts flexible. There are many forms of flexible clear materials that would allow sensations to be transmitted through. Find the materials and deploy them.
The moment you add any form of gloryhole, it allows virus transmissions through as a potential, thus converting these barrier-only facilities. If bodies are cleaned beforehand, the risks are still lower than if people on each side were to be without any barrier.
Even without minimal creativity of creating flexible barriers between people, people have always liked to watch others. Options for exhibitionists are very wide. Glssd and perspex screens are widely deployed, easy to clean, ss they are already.
A lot of rambling here |

A lot of people on fab seem to think the lifestyle is purely sexual
This is not the case many enjoy the social side just as much
Often we visit clubs to socialise with others and never have play on our minds with anyone but each other
Think it's shy we prefer couples nights to be fair
People make the effort to chat and get to know each other |

As many of us have posted in the club threads, there's lots of potential and very good ideas that we have circulated, including from the great club management and staff.
I think the big changes can come from the lack of physical contact, that could potentially support a new range of club goers. Potentially membership fees etc could be adjusted, whilst post-covid-19 v1.0 of the clubs open and start to flourish again. Getting the foundations right are important and clubs that are closer to membership pubs are likely to have lower local authority controls on them as well as would inspire less fear and uncertainty amongst a reluctant swinging public.
I'm guessing that being licensed as sex establishment venues will possibly be a curse and a blessing.
This thread I think was more tailored to how they might support features more towards safer sex than how they could operate generally, so I'll restrict more off topic content for elsewhere |

Everything that’s been suggested just demonstrates how difficult it’s going to be to get clubs going again.
Who’s going to want to go to a club where you have to have a plastic screen between you and do sex through a glory hole ?
Ditto all the other daft suggestions
Yes you can do social meets In clubs - but will people pay £20 to get in to sit and socialise ?
Initially a few faithful supporters might start off doing it but it will soon become clear that they could save the £20 and go to the pub.
And if they abandon the admission fee can they survive on drinks alone ?
Most of them don’t have alcohol licences and the hassle of getting one post-COVID probably won’t be worth the meagre takings over the bar.
Sadly it’s back to private house meets for the foreseeable. |

If the sexual element didn't exist in clubs there would be little or no incentive to pay an admission charge just to sit and chat. |

watch every response along these lines come from a single male profile
this is where they show their true colours that they treat clubs like brothels
there have already been couples on this thread say they would be happy to go along and pay entry because for them its about socialising with people with similar interests and connecting with people who they could potentially meet in future |

This. We are missing freinds we obviously haven't seen in so long so would happily pay a reduced entry fee to just socialize with people for future and and have a drink |

No difference that I can see in sharing sanitised toys and sleeping in a hotel bed, they're both cleaned after use! |

I think I read the virus can be detected in semen too... though if it’s active virus is less clear. |

For the fortunate few it will be delayed sexual gratification. People can meet potential future partners and get to know them, without feeling any pressure to have sex immediately, as it's not possible. Many people prefer social meets before play meets and a club environment provides some reassurance of safety, particularly for women.
I think it would be reasonable for clubs to charge less for reduced facilities, which will be a help for single men.
This period could be a boon for clubs, getting lots of new users, due to lower upfront costs of access |

Whilst I do not know if you are right or wrong with your opinion, I'm pretty sure for it's going to depend on the club.
A club in a city might be able to make that work but for a club that is more secluded and has people traveling from miles and miles away to visit, I don't think people will bother.
I know we wouldn't make a the 50 mile journey to our nearest club just to talk....and we are a couple who like the social side. |

"What is the difference between a toy with a fresh condom on it and a cock ?"
The cock may be attached to a super spreader ?
Or it may not.
Good chance it's not but it's personal choice.
The toy is as safeas it gets ?

Pandora in Leeds is having a soft opening on Saturday the 4th of July. No social mixing, no lockers or changing room, no showers, no Jacuzzi, no pool, no sauna, temperature taken before entry. Couples only with a plus 1 or 2 single. £25 per couple, £15 per plus 1. Be interesting to know how many will go for it - would you? |

Can't see how you can't catch covid off a cock or a pussy for that matter unless theyve been coughing all over it?
I assume most people have a wash before they play so can't see the risk in a gloryhole?
