I hope you find a job soon and I don't wish to add to your worries and problems.
I feel though it will be a very long road to recovery unless you want to work for a Supermarket or delivery company. |

I think some sectors will be quicker than others but overall I still see the recovery to be more responsive than if we'd just endured a global financial depression caused in the more usual ways.
We've not finished with the government stimulus measures, which have mainly focused on preservation. We should start to see greater focus on stimulation, which will foster recovery and growth.
Wishing you good fortune op |

The risk is that Brexit will be a double knock to the economy and result in more jobs lost. One major car plant in Liverpool is down from 2 shifts to one; it’s meant to return to full production in August but if sales aren’t there then a whole shift may be lost (including supply chains). There are also fears in the management structure that the foreign owners will close the plant and move it to the other UK plant or even the the Czech Republic where they are building a new car.

Yep and it massively depends on your area, what's available!
Plus competition for the same job.
I'm on the lookout too.
Keep searching, keep positive!
All the best x

"I got made redundant in September last year. I had a while off and then I’d planned to look for another job. Then boom! Covid hit now I’m feeling a bit despondent. Had my first interview in fifteen years last Friday. Was a nervous wreck lol "
Best of luck in your search
If you need any interview help PM me - I've interviewed 100s over my career, and as an interim now I do interviews for new roles that I'm interested in every 3-6 months |
