Earlier this afternoon, We drove to Trafford centre in Manchester to pick up an online order and we couldn't make it inside due to the very long queue at the entrance. Very mixed feelings! Very happy to see life slowly getting back on track but a bit concerned about overcrowding...

But that's why they're queuing, to avoid overcrowding inside the centres. I'm avoiding queues and will either go back when there isn't a queue, or order online. I think it's a mix of feeling uneasy in a queue with all these unknown people and probably that I'm too impatient |

I have a perfect way to get a bit of social distancing, due to hayfever I have an irritating cough. No bugger wants to stay near me when I start coughing |

It's great to hear people complain about how long the queue is ...
The queue they are part of ... because they had the same idea as all the others but it's like their not to blame for the queue they are in ...
I'm sure the people behind you think the same about you as you do of those in front of you lol |

Get where you're coming from. We were in our Local Tesco Sunday and felt very uneasy, just too many people in the store and social distancing wasn't happening very much, compliancy setting in |

Depends what your standard of social distancing is.
The 2m is based on risk of being near someone for a period of 15mins. Walking past someone unless they sneeze or cough at you carries negligible risks.
This is what frustrates me with peoples understanding of social distancing is doesn't mean you always have to be 2m apart you can walk past someone. That's why the one way system in Asda is laughable.
Hand hygine is really the main way of keeping safe when your out and about, especially with the number of people wrongly wearing face covering incorrectly and constantly adjusting them and the use of gloves.
The number of people shopping in gardening gloves is also mind boggling and gloves are more likely to spread disease than not wearing them. |
