"One time I wish I lived in England, so many more rules here
Come stay at mine, we can be bubble buddies....
I'm not allowed to travel more than 5 miles!!!! "
Thought that was only a recommendation and not a hard rule? |

We're only allowed to travel 5 miles at the moment for essential travel. So in some rural areas you have to travel more than 5 miles to the nearest supermarket. |

I wish I lived in Wales or Scotland or Northern Ireland. At least there, as a shielded person, I would have been given an update on what the new guidelines for me would be! |

It is, especially when your employer is wanting to know if you will be back on 1st July, 8 working days away. They want to plan rotas, do risk assessments, make changes to working duties etc. Even hospital consultants and gp’s don’t know what’s going on! |

I have the work issues at the moment, I’ve been downgraded to ‘low risk’ by Occy Health even though there’s no change in gov. info.
Not sure what’s going on at the moment.... living in limbo x |

I’ve had very little contact from my line manager since I’ve been off, just one phone call from her in 14 weeks! My hubby works at the same place and the depot manager grabbed him just before he left today. He said he understands that I’m probably feeling anxious about coming back and to tell me that if I want to use any outstanding holiday before I come back I’m to let them my line manager know and he’ll make sure it gets authorised. I must admit it was quite a relief to know that he understands how hard it is to think about just jumping straight back normal without a transition first |

Not me. I am not seeing anyone except very close family until I feel it is safe.
This is a step in the right direction, but I don't feel it is anywhere close to being safe yet. |

"I'm shielding, too. Wish we'd been told WHEN we can safely stop. Still no update. "
Something I’ve seen on a local new website tonight has reinforced my feelings about the shoddy way shielding updates have been handled. There have been a lot of allegations for about a week, voiced on social media by a local councillor. He claims that public health England had banned anyone from the hospital trust from answering any questions about Covid at the hospital. He claims that this is to keep the high number of Covid deaths and hospital admissions there under wraps and staff have been instructed to refer all enquiries to PHE. It have just seen that hospital has now been closed for a deep clean and an investigation is underway to find out if the cases are hospital acquired or community acquired.
I’ve often thought that there is no smoke without fire.......
