"Who has developed the vaccine?" Apparently Bill Gates has something to do with it & if that's true it ain't a vaccine. if it's from a computer guy....it's a nano tracker, far better than an app. That's my suspicion anyway, it's been produced way too fast to be "safe" as well. Typically it takes 10 years not 1!

They won't know the side effects yet.. let's be honest here dementia has been linked to the flu vaccine (in some reports) so what are the long term effects of a Covid vaccine?? Stay safe and well fellow gabbers!" Bloody hell 3 times. They should present themselves to the scientists. This could be groundbreaking. Surprised the media haven't been all over it. As for the side effects, these will come out of the trial testing. That's what the trials are for. To test to see whether the vaccine works and to observe any side effects. As an example, the long term effect of the smallpox vaccine is the eradication of smallpox.

" I have a friend. A frontline worker who has the virus 3 times. Each time different strains. " Your friend is certainly unique. I can't find evidence from any epidemiologist who says you can catch it more than once. People who test positive a second time still have the virus in their body. They haven't caught it twice and they don't display symptoms again.

Plus of course open to catching it and passing it on to someone else who could die but that, of course, is their right and no one can force them to have it...unless it becomes a legal requirement maybe.

I went to that link. Its from 2012 (pretty sure that is pre-covid). Here is the grant title; Purpose: to engineer a benign parasite as a biological control mechanism against herbivorous insect pests. Do you have any idea what that study was about? You do realise that a parasite is not a virus? An example of a benign parasite that fits the above description would be a ladybird that eats all the aphids that would eat the plants. He funded that study in 2012. Very tenuous link to one university that is testing one possible vaccine. Please try harder and when I say harder you are currently at less than 1% on linking him to the covid virus vaccine testers.

There will be people who are unable to have the vaccination because of other health issues, that's why it's important for as many as possible to have the vaccine to protect those that can't.

I’d mistrust a vaccine that was only being tested in the UK - pretty much the same as I mistrust anything from this world-beating government." "The people who don't want to immunise themselves/thier kids, should not meet people on fab or there should be a filter to block them if they not vaccinated. Before meeting do you check if people have been vaccinated against measles or TB ? Luckily a large enough portion of the population have been. Go look up "herd immunity". -Matt If I was stupid enough to not take a vaccine, and then contracted covid of a meet, please explain how herd immunity is going to help me? " The point of herd immunity is that with a sufficiently large proportion of the population inoculated against the disease then it has very little avenue for spreading. And as such even those that are unable or unwilling to vaccinate are protected. Hence why even if you had not been able to be innoculated against TB, you probably wouldn’t ask your meets if they have as the risk of them having it or passing it to you is extremely low. Unlike the situation we are currently in with C19. -Matt

Don't worry, most intelligent people will want to be vaccinated and be able to help get everything back to normal again. Nobody stop and question why Bill Gates, who admitted on TV he wants to cull the population of the world, really who is he,,,? God? Nobody stop and question why he wants to vaccinate the world when he was removed from vaccinating young kids in Africa who developed major health problems and some ended up severely disabled, yet you want to be at the front of the questions waiting for his vaccination? Ffs you read and believe some crap on the internet don't you. Strangely you are behaving like those that believe a vaccine is the right way to go, in that you are questioning their decision. Regardless, please show me any proof that Bill Gates is actually involved with all of the different covid-19 vaccine producers/testers. If a vaccine does show to be successful how do you know that he will be involved with it? you seem to be 100% sure that he will be. https://www.gatesfoundation.org/How-We-Work/Quick-Links/Grants-Database/Grants/2012/10/OPP1068542 How's this for starters, Gates funds the University where Vaccines are being tried and tested" Good on him!! This is one of the factors in this viral outbreak that hasn't been considered, it will take a really long time to convince the public to accept a vaccine, there's a good possibility a significant portion of the population would choose to die rather than have a jab sadly. But it does seem when you take this into consideration, covid-19 is going to be with us for much longer than until a vaccine is developed. Because the rollout and uptake of the vaccine could potentially be years before the public have any significant amount of immunity to the virus.

Apparently Bill Gates has something to do with it & if that's true it ain't a vaccine. if it's from a computer guy....it's a nano tracker, far better than an app. That's my suspicion anyway, it's been produced way too fast to be "safe" as well. "If it passes trials I would be willing to have it, hell if the pay was good I'd take part in the trial lol. Although are we even sure everyone will receive it anyway? Is it not more likely it will be rolled out to the elderly and high risk categories like the flu jab? The younger generation will do what it's doing now catch it and build immunity naturally. To the anti vax gang, what's your answer ? At some point vaccine or not the country will be required to go back to normal (schools for example the only answer to get them going again is to drop social distancing) would you be happy with sending your kids to school unprotected ? Or for your elderly and high risk to stay in doors for the rest of their life or risk catching it? As for Bill Gates ideas on population control, they may be unpopular but they are actually correct. Humans are the rats of earth, our ever expanding population will cause serious issues down the line, not in our life time but eventually we will be unsustainable, not a future I would want to live in. " I'm 34, was fit and healthy with no relevant underlying conditions. I got Covid-19 5-6 weeks ago, a "mild" case, and am still knocked flat. This disease is not uniformly mild in young healthy people. And by analogy with other human corona viruses, natural immunity is unlikely to last. " My father fought in WW2 in order that we maintained our freedom, that included the freedom of choice, I continue to enjoy that particular freedom when I choose not to have the vaccine. I do not consider it in any way shameful. Refusing to be vaccinated simply because you think it against your freedom is anti-social and you should indeed be ashamed. I would be hesitant as I'm uncomfortable that a vaccine can be comprehensively tested for safety in 6 months For all who say they would take it could you disclose the contraindications please and its pathway of inoculation please so I may know the risk for myself Personally I dont think a vaccination will occur I'm hesitant about the reduced time frame and safety. In principle the idea is a good one and doing our bit for ourselves and each other should be encouraged. In principle I'm all for it. In practice... let's see how it pans out."

"Trouble is, it's a much more interconnected world at this stage and misinformation does seem to spread quite quickly in the 21st Century. Coupled with the era of misinformation that we seem to live in once travel opens back up significantly there will most likely be continued outbreaks. Not to mention most vaccines aren't 100% effective, which will just galvanise the fake news hysteria further it seems. Anyway, just speculating, only way to know is to suck it up and see what happens. There's been significant documentation on the explosion of conspiracy theories in this. Few articles on Science Based Medicine have been excellent on the topic." Obviously conspiracies is nothing new and have existed in different cultures but it certainly does feel like social media and a more interconnected world has lead to an explosion of them. My hope is that the current uptick of conspiracies is a fad that fizzles out. But I feel that will take time, better information in schools. Or a focus on improving questioning sources and understanding where information comes from and why. But obviously that doesn't solve the issue for the generations who are already past education age. Perhaps they will just fizzle out over time. Or there will be a movement back towards factual news, who knows really.

I'm not saying it's not a horrible thing to catch but if the majority can fight it themselves then it's possible they wont vaccinate everyone. I wasnt saying they shouldn't give it to everyone I was just throwing the idea out there that the powers that be might decide not to.

"Who has developed the vaccine? Apparently Bill Gates has something to do with it & if that's true it ain't a vaccine. if it's from a computer guy....it's a nano tracker, far better than an app. That's my suspicion anyway, it's been produced way too fast to be "safe" as well. Typically it takes 10 years not 1!" We have a live one haha Bet you typed that comment on your mobile phone

" Dead against vaccines both my kids are unvaccinated " Your unvaccinated children are in danger of contracting the diseases below to name just a few: Chickenpox (Varicella) Diphtheria Flu (Influenza) Hepatitis A Hepatitis B Hib (Haemophilus influenzae type b) HPV (Human Papillomavirus) Measles Meningococcal Mumps Pneumococcal Polio (Poliomyelitis) Rotavirus Rubella (German Measles) Shingles (Herpes Zoster) Tetanus (Lockjaw) Whooping Cough (Pertussis ) Are you not ashamed that your actions can be perceived as child abuse?!

"The people who don't want to immunise themselves/thier kids, should not meet people on fab or there should be a filter to block them if they not vaccinated. The point of herd immunity is that with a sufficiently large proportion of the population inoculated against the disease then it has very little avenue for spreading. And as such even those that are unable or unwilling to vaccinate are protected. Hence why even if you had not been able to be innoculated against TB, you probably wouldn’t ask your meets if they have as the risk of them having it or passing it to you is extremely low. Unlike the situation we are currently in with C19. -Matt I'll ask again at the risk of appearing rude, how would it help me! I wouldn’t say it is rude. I’d say it is curious as I have already answered your question. You’ve even quoted my answer above. -Matt Third time lucky. If I catch covid off a meet, how does herd immunity help me? It doesn’t. But your argument is a straw man and trying to divert from the point. The point is that you would be less likely to catch it in the first place. Hence you would be unlikely to ask your meets if they are vaccinated against it. -Matt Thank you for answering but I'm smart and would be vaccinated. It's all about lowering risk. I totally agree. So would I in due course. But I was answering the question actually posed about whether you would ask your meet if they had TB vaccine. -Matt Ex military, and old enough to have a tb jab so don't need to ask. I’m just going to assume that you are just deliberately trying to miss the point now. -Matt" Who's "point"? Mine or yours?

Gates left computers long ago and his Foundation has done incredible charitable work worldwide. They have set up and provided seed funding for vaccine development but it is governments paying in the rest. Really depressing how many people are falling for quite blatent lies about vaccines.

"A lot of pro covid vaccine nutters on here. Bunch of tin hatted conspirisists believing a rushed vaccine which takes many years to properly test is actually safe." Nope. But there's a fair few of us that believe in the scientific method, checks and balances, and that it should be safer to take something that will have been extensively tested and overseen by independent regulatory bodies, than it would be to shove down whatever quack treatment Trump happens to mouth off about on any particular day. To be clear about this: if the "vaccine" is something thrown together by one of johnsons/cummings mates with no proper oversight (covid phone app anybody?) then it ain't going anywhere near my body or any of my relatives. But if it becomes a choice between taking a properly developed and tested vaccine/treatment that still might have some side effects on say one in a million, or contracting a virus in the name of "herd immunity" that has been totally seen to have short term side effects up to lung damage and death on about one in a hundred and could have nobody knows what long term effects on who knows how many? Um, difficult choice. Not.
