"The UK is scrapping its 14 day isolation, as it is silly.
Nice to see it can be beaten, fairly easily.
Shame you had a 40 mph speed limit on the mountain though "
It wasn't just for the mountain, it was all island. Goes up to 60mph from Monday and hopefully reviewed again at the end of the month. |

TBF it's much easier containing a pandemic on an island like Isle of Man, Australia, New Zealand than it is on mainland UK due to small population & the density of it. Having said that it's good news and great that the locals can get back to some semblance of normal life.
Has the IOM set it's own COVID restrictions or have they been following Blundering Boris & co? |

We started generally following everyone else but now they are following us. We did the contact tracing etc and got a handle on things quickly.
But yes a small island does have advantages. But then the population did behave themselves.
Not like these protesters etc |

...and the people flocking to beaches, nature spots, meeting on FAB, teenagers/young adults hanging around in groups, families BBQ'ing together. There's been a lot of selfish behaviour across the UK the last few months.
But good luck to the population over there. Interesting to see how long it is before you open borders though and then what impact it has |

to be honest.
I think when it all first started they didn't know what it was or what was going to happen with it.
the lockdown was justified for those reasons. but now they know a lot more about it. any death is a tradgedy for the family concerned. but if you look at the stats the death rate is only about 5% of all cases, so is that bad or not.
I think the social distancing would be done for defo. but everything else I am not so sure.
what seems to have scared everyone is that they were able to track an an individual around the world, who they infected and how it has actually spread from country to country |
