When did you last hear a cough?
Jump to: Newest in thread
People just don't cough in public anymore. I guess it is not socially acceptable. It's probably the biggest contribution to the drop in the infection rate.
People used to cough to hide the sound of a fart, now they fart to hide a cough. |

I coughed - once- in the supermarket car park the other day. No reason obviously just a tickle. Three people turned sharply to look at me. Even though they were about 5-10 metres away. Unclean! Unclean! |

With lockdown and social isolating/distancing, there should be a lot fewer colds about, and other transmissible diseases, like STDs.
It's breaking the transmission chain for everything, not just COVID.
Of course lockdown might create other health issues, especially mental ones. |

Coughing isn't really a symptom any more ,just wear a mask ,stay indoors don't share space with anyone and no it won't make you live longer it will just seem like it |

I'm sure my urge to cough starts on purpose as soon as I enter a shop. If you are in the vicinity, you'll hear the suppressed attempt. Unless it's due to aircon air, it's just an association or nervousnessm or I subconsciously learned it clears some people from my path. |

It really is subjective, as some folks may ready have a regular cough, long term smokers and some occupations can cause a regular cough, the odd cough here and there doesn't bother me,but given the circumstances we all find our selves in, somenone coughing quite regularly in public is bound to get some death stares.
Never been so glad I've lived so healthy and boring |

Makes you wonder what effect the distancing will have on other infections & diseases that jump between people. Will they sort of die out too or does that actually make us more vulnerable in the future from other countries? |

With social distancing all of our immune systems will be weaker in general. |
