Who else is still having trouble sleeping. A few months ago in full lockdown I along with many others had trouble sleeping for some reason, but I'm still having very sleepless nights on a regular basis.

Habits can be a pain! Did you contract the virus? If you don't think you did, it's good to research better sleep habit forming.
Generally I have found enforcing a regular go to bed and get up routine - avoiding light at night - keeping the bedroom for sleeping only - getting out of bed if I can't sleep and doing something - managing my diet and eating times- to be the things that aid me have better sleep.
Turn down blue light at night, including on phones. There have been a lot of posts in the forum on sleeping, if you search for them, they could help.
Relaxation exercises are good, to increase your skill level. Yoga is great too, as a way of fitness and relaxation. |

One contributing factor for some people could be lack of touch- insomnia is a symptom of touch deprivation (as touch releases serotonin, which is important for sleep). In the absence of being able to cuddle someone before bedtime, things that stimulate the skin may help. Self massage, a bath, cuddling up with pets, etc. |

I’ve always struggled to get off to sleep - I struggle to switch off. I find the following help:
- a cool room
- some low background noise (a phone app ensures this)
- minimal alcohol
- no caffeine in the evening
- reading for 1/2 hour or so before bed (lessens blue light from phone or tv)
That said, I’m quite comfortable as long as I get 5-6 hrs sleep at night, so I often fail to adhere to some of these! |

I've tried every remedy over the years, I've become used to 6 hours being a good night over time, any more and I feel genuinely groggy the next day. Since this virus though the broken sleep and amount of times awaking up and the strangest most vivid dreams. Not all of them about being a por star either |
