Okay so me and about 7 of my mates have got a holiday to magaluf booked for July the 17th to the 23rd and our hope is going like a rollercoaster.

Does anyone think it’ll happen or is it a lost cause.

Difficult to say. It depends when they allow us to travel for leisure. At the moment there is a 14 day quarantine, when arriving in this country, hopefully that will be lifted. Hope you get away

Yeah we’ve spoken about it and we’re all happy to take the 14 days as long as we can get to Spain ahah.

I really hope it happens

I think there is a fair chance you will be allowed to go. Will be pretty quiet over there. Not many bars and restaurants open and no clubs of course.

Articsl on D Telegraph web this morning said that high level sources in the G’ment have said to the tourist/holiday industry that the 14 day quarantine will be relaxed at the end of June and that Air Bridges will be in place with a number of holiday destinations, including Spain. If that is the case, then the next question is what a holiday will look like. Will Nars be open, will they restrict numbers or the amount of time, how will buffet restaurants operate. Could be that getting somewhere is not the only problem.

Definitely no buffets which is a shame as they are my favourite way of eating.

Isn't a lot of British people's idea of a holiday just lying in the sun doing nothing for a week?

Oh bless ya! I don't know, but I doubt that will happen. I would imagine the social distancing will still be in force then.

I always do a city break and a week in the sun. The week in the sun is to do completly nothing apart from eat, drink swim and sunbathe.

Sounds like the perfect holiday. I like to read and do cryptic crosswords on my sunbed, rather than nothing.

Drink dance and aex for me and my wife for the full week.

Now the kids are old enough to go away themselves

Central

I'd be searching for airline itineraries for those dates, so you'll have a clearer idea of who may be flying and from where, to Palma. Hotels are open there. I'd probably phone or contact hotels by email, to ask what their knowledge is of local services open, such as the bars and clubs. Whilst Spain is just opening, with changes in July, compared with now, it's good to know as much as possible.
