Boris got questioned he bullshitted his way through like usual, said his best was innocent.

Dominic Cummings acted responsible and acted like any parent would to protect his child and then said you're sending your kids into the unknown next week (back to school) so why not act like responsible parents and do the same protect your children that's how I saw it....(ps don't have kids but upset at the whole situation)

The Home team won the corner was definitely out and in at the same time the VAR wasn't clear because the evidence can't be found on 500 ANPR cameras on the M1 but the terrace refs are sure they won the after match comments saying that they played better and should have won except for the fact that they left someone in the dressing room called . .. Egbert.

The press could have asked the PM an update about the track and trace...but they didn't.

They could of asked the PM about testing capability increasing by the end of the month...but they didn't.

They could of asked the PM about travel quarantine ...but they didn't.

But they did all ask the PM the same pointless question.!

The point I was really making is the PM doesn't do many daily briefings, so the press could of asked some good questions.

Instead they waste their time and everyone else's all asking the same question which they already knew would have been cover in his opening statement.

Official government advice is now "trust your instincts". My instinct is that a huge sex party next weekend will cheer everyone up. Who's coming?

And on a more serious point. I'm 53 now. I remember Wilson, Callaghan, Thatcher, Major, Blair, Brown, Cameron and May as PMs. Some of those people I detested. But all of them had a basic competence at the job and all of, whilst obviously spinning facts to their advantage, recognised there were basic facts that could not be spun away.

Neither is true of Johnson.

If the press had not asked him about Cummings they would’ve been derelict in their duty. Fact is the Prime Minister humiliated himself in front of the country to save Cummings, he’s even lost the Daily Heil now.

It wasn’t wasted, it showed us what the elite think of us, that they are above the rules that we have to follow and they will do what they like, safe in the knowledge that their lickspittles will support them whatever they do.

Which means that this story is causing a problem on a national scale.

Cummings has become the story during the pandemic and has created a massive crisis in confidence.

I am sure many people will now say that that means that the story should not be covered, not should anything that brings into doubt government competence.

Just today or should that always be the case?

How about poor economic decisions in a recession? Should those not be questioned?

Disastrous response in a flood? Not until later so as not to distract them?

Crumbling infrastructure?

Under funding social care?

The Prime Minister only did this briefing to defend his boss, Cummings. To take the grenade for him.

What he needrd to do today was reassure the country that government advice would be applied fairly and uniformly.

He didn't. At that point any other questions become irrelevant as a huge credibility gap has been created.
