I know as from Wednesday that where I live is about to get super busy. In total shock that it’s ok to travel to other places for exercise. This will mean spreading the virus to places that potentially have a lot lower cases. Absolutely crazy. |

I am actually genuinely worried, not necessarily for me and my daughter as I unfortunately have already potentially had the virus 9 weeks ago. But for my family and friends. For the tons of older people that live here. It’s obvious what is going to happen. |

The council closed the road between the pier and marina at the end of march and most of the seafront parking has also been suspended with extra traffic wardens on duty issuing tickets but it still hasn't stopped visitors.
The Brighton rock shops now have a new line of rocks covid running all the way through they have been quick to capitalise on the current situation |

Spoken like you have absolutely no idea as to how much smaller some villages are, especially in Devon and Cornwall etc..
It's part of their charm but in the current situation it will bring unnecessary risks and concerns for local people.. |

"People think if you keep your distance you're fine
That's not true
People visit shops,pass money,door handles
Sit on pebbles after someone else has "
A passing dog walkers friendly mutt comes over for a pet while your on the pebbles, virus can live on coat of pets like any object
Whatever about work why not just keep saying stay at home with such high stakes |

We may have our own mobile self insulation vehicles. Toilet shower, hot drinks and food with us. And no need to come into contact with the locals. But unfortunately ! I don't think the over zealous police will see it that way. So I to will stay close to home. |

The owners of caravans at haven in Weymouth didn't think the previous rules applied to them so no doubt more of them will now arrive.
Theres no "confirmed" cases on Portland (some of us are sure we had it beginning of December after dealing with a Chinese cruise ship) but reckon that will change with day trippers walking the island. Time will tell I guess |

More to the point he should have told us all to stay at home, went for a few bits yesterday and the town was full, people not even waiting till Wednesday and do people not realise that the councils have shut most of the seaside car parks? Know they have in Cromer where my parents are and the NW beaches are closed so ..... stay home n stay safe simples |

The police cannot cope with the breakouts as were shown on the news and they will only increase as more people say "why can't I go out, they are", so this is the next logical step, they have been exercising/picnicking all over the main parts and villages of the forest for 3 weeks |

"Kind of glad I live in a quiet village that’s not really famous for anything.
Only have to worry about the amount of cyclists not giving my horse enough space when passing me. "
Plus MK is seriously shit so who would visit.

The thing is the police only have powers that government give them. All that will happen here is people will travel for miles to come to the beautiful beaches for the day, pay a £30 fine as let’s be honest that’s a bargain for a day out with a family that have been nowhere for months. Then go home. The car parks here were closed but beaches not, that would be impossible to manage as it’s miles of beaches. But local people only taking there 1 hour a day. This part of the country is about to be inundated. |

When you think they've been bad, they surpass themselves. To follow from someone's earlier post, I was watching the Royston Vasey show, all available in iplayer atm, last night - we could have more local shops springing up.
I'm not sure more rain would deter some mugs. April had 40% of typical rainfall and May has been largely dry. |
