One of the lads I work with tested positive for covid-19 and we were both working together saturday. This leads me to believe I have it.
I just been to get tested, I have zero symptoms, feel like a million dollars, I'll be posting daily updates on here to give you a insight. |

I'd have waited a few more days to get tested... as you can test negative despite having it if its not yet taken hold. ( according to what I've read)
Hope you have someone that can help you while you isolate for now. |

There is that, I will have to take another test in 14 days before I can return to work as that's the company policy.
Oh yeah, I've got my right hand and my left hand if I'm feeling adventurous |

"Was it company policy that you got tested to?
"
The person I work with got tested on Wednesday, as a precaution purely because he has a family and a little one. The results came back yesterday and he was positive therefore with me being in contact with him at close distance for a substantial amount of time leads me to beleive I have it too. Hopefully my results will come back rather quickly. Although I still have to sit at home for 14 days. God help me |

Good luck.. I'm still waiting for my results... Pretty pointless exercise for me to go. My work place has numorous cases despite our efforts with social distancing. I got no symptoms. My colleague was tested positive with only one symptom: lost of smell |

You're young so fingers crossed will only have mild symptoms.
I get the above, did you get a test off your own back or is it your companies policy? Just interested because so many variations company to company. |

It's good that you are being tested as it could prevent you from passing it to others and ultimately someone being dead, as a result of it.
If you are pos, enjoy the fuller rest that you will have |

Then unless your job is essential you shouldn't be doing it. Borris said very clearly if it is safe to go back to work then go back to work. So clearly if you can not keep a safe distance do not go to work. |

Yup careworkers can't deliver personal care from a 2m distance. |

Congratulations on taking the initiative of getting yourself tested, hopefully everything comes back negative
All the best to your colleague too, I hope he and his family are okay.
As for everyone else saying "if you can't distance at work, it isn't essential, blah blah blah"
Can you all stop following the herd?
Not everyone can keep 2 metres from everyone else, all the time.
As for how it was put by Boris, "if it's safe to go back to work, then go back to work" that's all well and good, but what do you all expect some of us to do about life?
You still going to be saying this if it's not safe come September?
Shutting 70% of a country down for a year because of a bit of a bad flu caught us by surprise is ridiculous.
People need to live! |

The idea of sticking to the rules is that hopefully this virus is gone by September if people keep ignoring them then it won't go. Other than essential workers why can't you keep 2 metres apart?. I'm in construction the company I work for shut down for 4 days during lockdowm while they put stuff in place to make it safe for us to work, they hired 8 vans so that we don't have more than one person per vehicle got toilets and washing facilities in for 24 people across all different sites we are across the UK so we don't have to share facilities with anyone and lots of other little and implemented loads of rules for us to follow to ensure we don't get closer than 2 metres. I'm lucky o work for a company that cares about it's employees and I obviously don't know how this could work in a factory but I'm sure that if profit is put to one side a little bit and company's think of there employees first they can make it work. |

Gone by September?! Seriously, what planet are you living on ? This virus is going nowhere and in all likelihood will be with us, as virulent as this for years . Where do you think it's going to suddenly disappear to?! |

You work for one of the better employers then.
I asked what we do about sites we visit that have no toilet/washing facilities due to being closed and we are just doing basic checks was suggested that I use hand sanitizer and take loo roll with me
Apparently it’s easier for men.
Where I go to the toilet I will leave to people imagation
And no I don’t I go home. |

Good luck. I did my test friday and came back Monday negative but still have symptoms so isolating still .
You can have the virus for 3 days without symptoms so the million dollars might not last.

I had my second test last Thursday as yet I’ve not received the results.
My second test was done because the first was ‘un clear’ which could be due to a contaminated sample.

Are you disappointed?
It may sound a dumb question but just wondering whether people who have shown symptoms would like to get it out of the way (I know there are reports of long lasting problem) |

What is there to be disappointed about? If I'm negative it means I can still kick about for a while on planet earth.
I'd rather not get it if I'm honest but you never know! |

Without a vaccine a lot of us will probably get it going forward. My post wasn't intended to be inflammatory |
