im not against vaccines at all.what i am weary of is having something injected into me that has been rushed through.theres a reason drugs are tested for years on animals then humans.anyone remember the peeps eho swelled up like ballons during a trial of a drug they had been working on for years? sone ending up with fucked livers.so if a vaccine comes along i will take it but not until quiet a few million have put themselves firward as test subjects first.and smallpox been mentioned it took years to beat that.last recorded case was a woman in india i think it was abd that was sonetime in 1980s so only a few hundred years we had to live with smallpox |

Thousands of years...records of pharoes having duffered from it.
I totally agree vaccine must be tested properly. The point is that it IS being tested properly.
The risks being taken are financial....speeding it up by doing things in parallel rather than in series.
The biggest delay normally is waiting for animal and lab tests before recruiting volunteers. Waiting for human test results before investing in manufacturing facilities etc. The gaps between stages are what takes the time normally.
I'd happily go to front of queue for vaccination... but may not need to as GP says 90% chance I've already had it. |

Smallpox virus was the first ever Vaccine in the world (UK of course) , found by E Jenner which is the Uni in Oxford that are leading the Vaccine trials for Corona. How apt if they got the first vaccine!
