Why are Wales and Scotland just over ruling boris, is he the prime minster of uk ? Or can each county start its own set of rules? Coz many have populations to match those countries. |

She is telling Scotland to stay home and boris is saying get back to work.As England is paying the loins share of the furlough money it easy to say stay home. |

Nothing has really changed apart from the slogan. Boris still reportedly said to stay home.
I was very disappointed as had hoped for our social circle to be allowed some expansion. Instead its more about letting people that could already have done back to work know that they could
Apart from as from Wednesday you will be able to sit in parks etc.. |

I think op you'll find it's the rabid arm of the ruling party that over-ruling Johnson. The likes of his troupe that clamoured against the underlings getting addicted to the furlough scheme, that had driven the issue of back to work instructions last week that emphasised that employers should make the rules for how underlings must work, instead of having clear rules from government on absolute minimum standards. Remember how a while ago they were hungry to cut red tape? Now's their kind of opportunity to get it into action.
Can't have a slogan that says 'Stay at home', when the lazy good for nothings should be earning money for party donors etc.
Devolution has allowed nation states to show how they work in their citizens' best interests, or not. |

I think this the sage response to all the mental health problems lockdown is causing, at least now the dv households can get out, a change of scenery changes mindsets massively uplifting spirits, they won't add mixing households until they know how high the r is in the next few weeks |

Can’t we furlough most of them off?

Is the devolved governments trying to show they are more in control of their areas than parliament, in my opinion.
They really need to get a grip that they are still part of the UK and using UK money. They should have waited until after Boris, then said OK but we are going to do this. |

Because we have a first minister who is still in touch with reality. Our parliament has devolved powers, these powers have been used.
Do you believe your PM has your interests at heart? Or is he being deliberately vague so that people will jump at the chance to get out more, to misinterpret the 'message', if the infection rate rises, BJ et al will very quickly point the finger at you the public claiming they meant you had to stay indoors so, it's all your own fault, if it goes the other way they will take the glory. Everyone is the same, we all want this to end but sometimes tough decisions must be made and that's what our first minister and the Welsh have done.
Regarding the 'who's paying the 80% wage' that question alone only highlights why others don't want to remain in the UK. Some talk as though it is only one nation who is entitled to anything, similarly the 'well if they want independence let them go' really? That's the best you can come up with while your PM is bending you over and shafting you??

I would expect each FM of N Ireland, Wales & Scotland to do what they believe is in the best interest of their Nation and people.
The fact is the virus transmission rates are not necessarily the same rate in different areas of England let alone the four Nations that make up the UK. Just because each nation headed into lockdown at same time doesn't mean they will exit at exact same time as it depends on the circumstances that exist. |

I think you need to read up on the UK political system a bit, you clearly don't have much understanding of it
A huge chunk of legislation decided in westminister is applicable to all 4 countries, which is why there is representation from all 4 countries to contribute towards this
In addition to this certain areas are devolved meaning legislation is created at a more local level. Public heath is one of these matters where responsibility for scotland fall to holyrood and why Nicola is making the decision for Scotland. Its not a new system, its been about since the scottish parliament opened so using terms like trying to over rule the uk makes no sense as the uk does not make scottish law on that subject
Suggesting that all non english beed to get out of parliament just shows how little you know what goes on there either |

I actyally feel sorry for the english people because in a fewcweeks time your death rate will be near something like that other dickhead who doesnt know how to run a country in america boris advice from the start of this was to follow herd immunity as closing down a country and stopping large gatherings doesnt work (his words)he was far too late at closing down the country and has made mistake after mistake he knew from january that there was a great possibility that this was coming why didnt he starting planning from then and dont even get me started with the way care homes have been treated or should i say forgotten about the man is a disgrace and if he had any decency he would resign he is quite obviously not upto the job |

Family and friends can get together, complying with physical distancing rules, if they are working and can't work remotely.A cleaner, handyperson, gardener, cook etc can drive to their employer for work or interviews all the time, as they stay alert. |

Incorrect!!! You can meet ONE family member/friend from outside your household whilst maintaining the 2 metre rule.
Your post sums up part of the problem. People will continue to misinterpret the guidance set out as they have done since day 1 and keep fucking this up for everyone.

No we can't meet friends and family? Where did you get that idea?
That s never mentioned at all!!
We are allowed to meet one member at a time as long as e keep 2 metres apart
This is the problem.. Some people don't understand the rules considering how easy they are to decipher while other just simply create their own..

"Just playing politics. Trying to look important.
Can’t we furlough most of them off?
Boris is the one playing politics with people's lives
Scotland is just protecting its citizens
Scotland also believes its R is above 1 whereas England believes it’s below. Horses for courses?
"Potentially.9" according to the great leader last night
So off to work and by end of week it will be well over 1
Ok. If you say so. I’m just putting forward a reason why it might be.
No the reason Scotland is going its own way is because it sees what a fucking clown Boris fucking Johnson is and what a mess he has made of it all
I see the education system in Scotland has excelled. "
Educated enough to never vote Tory.
Bojo is a blubbering fuckwit and tricked you into Brexit and making him PM?!
Its like you want to have the worlds modt incompetent leader.

"Because we have a first minister who is still in touch with reality.
That's the best you can come up with while your PM is bending you over and shafting you??

she would have clamped up on airports at the start of this insisting on 14 day isolation for people arriving into UK, Boris is only considering this now
15 Million people have came into the UK via airports during this period of COVID-19 |

Interesting, personally I see her as a back seat driver, who is effortlessly dodging any real responsibility. The 4.5 million scots have the 60 million english to take the brunt of big projects tax wise..... But I won't convince you so let's just enjoy the weather |

The numbers arriving has amongst other aspects been poorly managed I agree..
But if health is a devolved issue and your guessing how she would have dealt with that then why didn't it happen? |

Hmmm as this seems to be becoming an independence vote lol how can it be fair one country gets a vote while the other country does not ? Why weren't the people of England asked if they wanted to keep the uk as a whole? It's a double standard.
But Keeping where we were born etc out of the equation, it seems obvious that Wales and Scotland benefit from people flying into Heathrow etc it's why London got hit hard first.... But then Wales wants to shut the door, (Devon and Cornwall wanted the same) they are wanting a one way street in terms of advantages only please.
Just how I see it. Sorry. |

Hownis it wales or scotlands fault that the busiest airport is in England?
Also if the people of england got a vote to divorce Scotland the Divorce would have happened and Wesminster could no longer milk us.
Why do you think they wanted to keep Scotland in the phoney union.
The thing is many English people believe the press that Scotland is full of d*unks and junkies. MP's know the truth the rather than England subsidising Scotland, the opposite is actually happening. It has been for many many yeats

No one has blamed Scotland for an airport! Or anything else! I haven't mentioned drugs either lol
There are a lot of assumptions there.... But you haven't actually said why it is fair for one country to get a say and for the other not to.
And although I don't blame Wales for building London , the virus, drugs, or dragons, I do think it should take the rough with the smooth, they benefit from proximity but now wish to shut door, would they not use the nightingale hospital if needed? I think they would. |

England is the test area, don't want to reinfect the whole country, its practical to do areas at a time and we have the hospitals to deal with wave 2 so we make sense to go first |

The UK has the second highest official death count in the world. We're not the second largest country. We're an island. We've got theoretically 1st world health facilities.
It should be hard for anyone not to put these pieces together and ask "what the utter fuck is our gov actually doing!?""
We arent the second highest death rate if you do the maths properly and divide the deaths of each country by the population. |
