I got in trouble for quioting a news site recently but he said clearly that
Avoid Public Transport if you can.
From Wednesday
you can go sit in a park, exercise without restriction, drive to other destinations, play sports with members of your own family,
BUT keep social distancing in all other cases. |

FFS how difficult is it for some people to understand. Dont go out more than you need to for food, work or health reasons, if you are struggling with being shut in a small space with young kids for example then get outside more to keep sane. Dont mix with others unless essential, when out keep 2 metres from others and keep washing your hands.
Tomorrow's lesson will be how to wipe your ass after having a shit, later in the week how to cross the road safely.
My goodness how the hell would people survive if they didnt have someone telling what to do |

So you cant work on level 1 while someone else works on level 2 no? Or the east side of a building while someone works on the west?
The painters cant be in painting the offices while a tiler is in the bathroom ... pretty sure if a company gets creative there are lots of ways to space people out , it might not finish the job to a normal timescale but its better than doing nothing at all |

Well then I’ve just given you an example of how a large company (Tens of thousands of employees) were actually able to make a sensible decision without a direct explicit instruction from the government and are already continuing to make forward plans for the rest of the year
And you are making out like we have been told nothing and given no guidance at all to work from
Stay home as much as possible is not being told nothing, in fact its pretty clear and people are either choosing to pretend they dont get it or our literacy rates are much lower in the uk are much lower than we claim they are |

"Strongly encouraged to return to work is an awful line to take
He said strongly encouraged to return to work where social distancing can be put in place for example construction sites ... have these guys not been screaming for weeks that they could be working and now the opposite outcry comes ... cant bloody win
Social distancing on a construction site? Now that is funny
Why is it funny ?
Company I work for has all its sites open and had no problems working
Wow, they have invented social distancing scaffolding? Manchester City centre is full of construction sites and workers and none of the ones I have seen are social distancing
So you cant work on level 1 while someone else works on level 2 no? Or the east side of a building while someone works on the west?
The painters cant be in painting the offices while a tiler is in the bathroom ... pretty sure if a company gets creative there are lots of ways to space people out , it might not finish the job to a normal timescale but its better than doing nothing at all
Social distancing site canteens, works lifts? Let’s be honest , none of these things will be happening because me now have the get out jail free card ‘where possible ‘
Have the police, fire, ambulance services, council refuse wagons etc been one man operated ? No of course not.
Sorry i dont get your point? Should we stop anyone ever leaving the house again or just stop essential services because its not possible in every single scenario to lone work?
Different circumstances need to be assessed on their own merit... its part of the reason a boris cant come out with a blanket rule to fit all "
Other countries have blanket rules for all, clear rules too
Y
Those countries that are dealing with this much better than Boris and uk |

"FFS how difficult is it for some people to understand.
My goodness how the hell would people survive if they didnt have someone telling what to do "
Totally with you.... I don't know if it's people purposely being obtuse so they can find loop holes to justify their "breaking of the rules" or if people just genuinely don't have common sense.... Do we really need to be told how to protect ourselves after all this time. We all have a basic idea of how the virus spreads, and what we can do to minimise our risk of catching it... The operative word being MINIMISE.... There is no guarantee that any rule/guideline is going to prevent you from getting the disease, but following basic guidelines will most definitely minimise the risk.
My favourite saying lately is, common sense doesn't seem to grow in all gardens. I seem to be using it far too often these days |

Problem is there is really no black and white with this it's about reducing risk. I have worked through this but since February carried hand sanitiser and used it frequently. So far it's worked for me I don't shake hands and tend to stay back from people where possible.
But I don't know if I have had it or not.
Thing is we can go about our lives and not get ill but one day could go home and kill the grand parents with it . Think about it. |
