"at 7pm?
Stay alert

I suggest you put all glasses out of reach unless you are happy with more exercise, a trip to the garden centre and staying alert of course |

He’s made an announcement that he has an announcement today. The announcement today will be some slightly amended restrictions on the lock down and there will be a further announcement in a few weeks |

We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender, and if, which I do not for a moment believe, this island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, ...
Hang on, where the fuck is my speech? |

Stay home and stay safe. Germany’s infection rate has gone up since they eased their lockdown (above R1) so I can’t see anyone, even Boris, telling people the lockdown is over. My guess is more piffle about the science and we will see in 3 weeks. Until then stay celibate and keep buying those shares in love honey |

"Regardless of what he actually says anyone with any sense should have a good idea of what's necessary."
this
He’s not easing it because it’s over, it’s because there is room in ICU for us now. |

Exactly, everyone needs to look after themselves now and take some responsibility. |

Whilst I really hope it's.
Restrictions and lockdown rule's tightened, curfew in place after 8pm.
It's will probably be some wishy-washy shitte that a majority of people will read as
All safe everything is going back to normal as you where.
Nothing to see here, move along. |

For those taking no notice in London, he’ll say fill your boots as you don’t understand simple instructions of no sitting outside, that’s not exercise or what 2ms is, so let you be the next lot through nightingale ! The rest of you keep doing what your doing |

So what is the aim of your hard stance
As I see it
1500000 will be dieing
We are coping
To get to our 250 k currently it will take a year
Tighten down it will take 2 or three
Same outcome unless
Unless ??
Unless ??
Unless . Help me unless ???
If you need to save lives there is no choice
Select 2 million people statistically vulnerable
Lock them in there homes with only professional contact wearing effective ppe
Zero contact with the world ever again
It's not palatable. It's not practical but IF You want to save the lives that's your only option
Locking up the UK with curfew s will indeed slow the rate of death
However the vulnerable will always be vulnerable and everyone who "essentially" goes out will eventually catch it and pass it on unless the vulnerable quarantine infinitely
Tough choices
If you tell me
Look. lock down hard we need 4 weeks for a workable solution after which we can prevent death
Then yey weld the doors shut stop all travel all work and all public transport
However if that's not the case sever lockdown is pretty much just rhetorical spite
I say
If you care about you and vulnerable loved ones then YOU must isolate yourself and them completely
Trying to blame individuals for its inevitable spread is becoming somewhat pious
We need ppe education and personal isolation
But it ain't going to be safe for years
More severe the lock the longer the lock
Longer the lock the more death and misery
There is a balance line
It isn't talley ho freedom
It's not 8 PM curfuews
It's a muddle of incorrectness in between
I will state however
Taxis busses and trains should not run !
They are the worst period

It's not a rant it's a perspective
And a counter perspective to the suggestion a lock down should be more punitive

"My actions will be informed by the pronouncement of my mum this morning.
"Don't listen to the politicians, listen to the scientists".
Occasionally I'm a good girl and listen to my mum "
Heres a sad fact
Science is a method for collecting data
Scientific method when followed correctly gives robust data
Often robust data will lead to absolutes yey
However a scientific conclusion from data is not quite as reliable especially when a difficult conundrum involves ethics
SARS2 is not just a science based problem its ethical
Eukkkk bugger damn
Fact
Scientific method will most likely tell you it will never ever ever be safe to leave your home again
But there will be numbers attached that are argggggggg confusing
Truth be told ethically it will abdicate to your decision on risk
My mum will die if I get it and see her
I will get it at point x
At what point I arbitrarily start to see her is totally moot
Not scientific it will be emotional
Damn virus
I will reiterate though
We are arguing over this
Train track
Lever
100 adults die no lever pulled
Pull the lever 89 adults 1 child die
Obviously the "correct" moral decision is not possible only the one you can live with individually

Thought this tweet summed it up ; -
Back to the plague-infested workhouses, plebs, and if you don't fancy risking public transport, you can bloody well walk or ride a bike. The important thing is you make your employer richer. If you die you die.

That's not really confusing, he said only use it if you have to, by that he means if you don't have a car or it's too far to walk or cycle.
People are nitpicking, it just takes abit of common sense, clearly something a fair few people are lacking. |

Did anyone seriously expect Boris to come out with a credible plan? We are talking about a poor imitation of the USA’s prize film-flam artist and congenital idiot currently occupying the Oval Office. Boris was predictable, nothing of substance, yet another trite phrase trotted out and muddled thinking.
The harsh reality is that politicians everywhere are faced with making choices. On the one hand they need to try to reduce the spread of the virus but that also affects the economic prosperity of the country. Reduce the number of people who fall sick and possibly die, but also see increases in suicides and deaths due to lack of availability of medical services and financial hardship. There’s no easy answer, but our politicians should be frank about the options open and explain why the one they are proposing is the lesser of two evils. |
