Difficult to know what is fake news and what isn't at the moment.

However, Wales and Scotland seem be saying the Lock Down remains for the time being.

Boris is expected to say there is to be some easing!

So with Scotland and Wales making their own arrangements, will Westminster continue to pay the "Furlough"?

Hope not if we have start earning money then so should they, England paying the loins share of the lockdown bill.

Wales are relaxing some elements, garden centres can open, council tips etc and people can exercise more than once per day although not seen what the specifics of the latter are..

Sunak has said the furlough payment and other parts of the support package will be reviewed so would expect the former to be cut..

Boris will I reckon give little details of how they will slowly start to lift the lockdown but it may be similar to the above and nowhere near the headlines of yesterday or what some of his party want just yet..

That’s an interesting question. Don’t know about Scotland, but the Senedd doesn’t have fully devolved powers over income tax (thank god), so I imagine the WAG would have to stay in line with Westminster on furlough (as they should have throughout Covid in my opinion). If the Welsh people prefer what Westminster come up with regarding lockdown you can pretty much guarantee what that whatever The Senedd thinks will be irrelevant. Most people I know don’t even know what it does as an institution let alone care.

Scotlands R number is still slightly higher than England's which is the reason why lockdown will not be lifted in Scotland just yet. The first minister has however, indicated that if things improve up here she is open to slightly relaxing the lockdown measures before the next review.

I very much doubt whether Johnson's pronouncements will differ greatly from Sturgeon's, whatever the tabloids may say, but hey, why let facts get in the way of a chance to criticise Scotland.

No one's criticising Scotland but we are the United Kingdom so Isould move together, unless Scotland wants a hard board. Makes you think if there's more going on than the virus.

Why don't we follow Scotland's position then?

Only a slightly different time scale, so NS is being wisely cautious.

Whilst there are undoubtedly some raving nationalists who would like to use the pandemic as an excuse to further their independence ambitions, I don't think Sturgeon is one of them, and her prime consideration at the moment is the health of the people of Scotland.

If Johnson and his cabinet had the same regard for the people of England, there would be no need for a divergence of measures.
