Noticing several threads being deleted (by admin I assume). Have not seen the ends of them to understand what is being said ..... any insight?

Should have said the deletions were threads that appeared to be topical and current to the virus.

1. You don't start threads akin to threads deleted.

2. You don't question decision to delete threads.

Threads are generally deleted if they go against forum rules.

Another reason may be a massive slagging off of other members (normally posts get deleted but sometimes there's too many).

I haven't noticed anything being deleted. A few have been moved to the politics forum.

Mmmm whether there was a general clear up underway or something went pop with several threads (which I assume could be the same poster repeating themselves) .... hey ho

Yes I reckon it could be the last point you made there too about the forum rules.

We all have to abide by the sites rules, including those of the forum. It's sometimes happens that heated debates become offensive, rather than open adult discussion. At a difficult time, we all benefit from being more appropriate in how we engage with others, as we may be troubling some who are facing a tougher time than we are. A little consideration for others and general wellbeing is worth making.

In my experience the mods here tend to be quite arbitrary.

Conversations are better off-site.
