Do you think that once boris announces whatever easing of lockdown measures he has planned that people will start meeting again? I know there are some people still wanting to meet now so will people succumb or just be that fed up that they will, I've no intentions of meeting for the foreseeable but will people really wait till there's a vaccine |

People are meeting now and more will do so especially if restrictions are eased a little.

Once you are allowed to spend time with friends people will start meeting more especially fwb and regulats etc. And like said above some have never stopped once people are allowed to see family child care would obviously become easier |

okay... my guess would be
home working advice to remain in place, those who can work from home are still advised to....
allow non-essential shops to reopen, as long as they can adhere to social distancing guidelines
shops that sell food can open but must again adhere to social distancing and be takeout or drive thru only
bars and restaurants at this stage to remain closed... but may be allowed to open up later (july) at 1/3 capacity....
social gatherings allowed but only a maximum of 10 people allowed
schools remain closed till sept... the only exception may be kids transitioning from primary to secondary
some sport to be allowed but without crowds... golf, tennis, ect... |

My feeling is that any easing of Lockdown will be for economic, rather than medical reasons.
Some cash-strapping businesses need to get some flow into their value-streams. |

Yep. Just because boris says we don’t have to stay home doesn’t mean the virus is gone.
Good chance that numbers could spike again after easing. |

Very likely that this is what will happen. |

I doubt Russia will be anywhere close to The US on this.
I still think Boris and especially Trump, will “Trump” everyone else.

I have no intention in waiting for the vaccine (which may never happen) before I start meeting again. However, it will not be any random meets, just back to finally being able to see my partner and probably some of the regulars I was already seeing before the lockdown. |

Russia, over 10,000 new cases per day all this week, yet suspiciously low death rates. Even their own population dont believe them
Brazil, higher new case rates than uk, but low death rates, a leader that still thinks it's all a scam.
Ecuador, low case rates for weeks on end one day 11,000 then back to really low rates.
I'm happy I live in the UK. |

As you’ve rightly pointed out: there are low death rates in those countries.
Until and unless you have hard evidence to prove the contrary, then we will just have to base it on the figures we have at hand.
Not all countries that have high infections have high death rates. |

And that’s exactly what I plan to do as well, and so will some others. |

To everyone blaming the government for the Covid19 death toll surpassing that of Spain and France and calling them incompetent, bear this in mind:
It is possible to change an argument in your favour with statistics even if they are not truly representative. Try looking at it logically and dispassionately.
If you look at the population levels of the 3 countries mentioned, the U.K. has the highest at around 70 million, compared to 66 million in France and 49 million in Spain.
Then look at the size of the area these people are living in : The UK 250,000 km2, France 650,000 km2, Spain 506,000 km2.
Figured it out yet? No?
The U.K. has a population density of 280 people per km2
France has a population density of 102 people per km2
Spain has a population density of 97 people per km2
Know what that means? That means, ( according to figures from google today) the U.K., despite having nearly 3 times (275%) the population density of France and (289%) that of Spain, has death figures which are only 8% more than France and 7.5% more than Spain.
But, it’s easier for the media to use the headline number in order to create the hysteria and panic they are so desperate for to give this story legs, so why let facts get in the way of the narrative.
Wake up people, use your brains, not your emotions.
Have a lovely day. |

Lies, damn lies and statistics. Never truer words said. They can be used by anyone to bolster their lies ( Mark Twain apparently) |

We don't know quite what he's going to be saying, apart from the dozens of leaks that no 10 has had published this week - funnily, he couldn't reveal to parliament, for scrutiny what he was going to be saying
If it's just that you are allowed to sit on a park bench for a few extra minutes between bursts of exercise, it'll probably have limited influence.
There's the natural rage in the conservative party against the riff raff getting addicted to their natural laziness, so they are frothing at the mouth to get their slave labour system active again ASAP. Johnson has to appease them of course, as he's first hand experience in working against the Prime Minister May, to get them sacked and doesn't want his publicly adored halo tarnished and ripped from his head. The public can get fed the drivel from the usual Fail and other propaganda rags and lap it up,to become hungry to rebuild this great empire's national spirit.
Who is it who's wanting to meet? The majority of the population want to stay safe at home. It's possible that those apparently hungry to meet now are just after wank fodder, actively fooling others that they are genuine and find them irresistible, but a few more pics would be helpful, ASAP please. We've seen some posts here insistent that the most important thing is to get the economy back on track and that the odd lives lost along the way is a small price to pay for it - perhaps such thinkers go hand in hand with those ready to shag at any price? The floggers of herd immunity being the best gang bang purveyors?
The physical distancing targets have largely been adhered to, public travel being a feint shadow of the old normality. Ok, it may mean that the quiet network allows faster hopping between meets, with dicks barely time to dry between each call.
If more time in public is allowed, perhaps there'll be a rise in demands to meet on running tracks. |
