Headline calling for urgent probe into obesity being a higher risk factor for covid mortality....why?
Has it not always been the case that they are at higher risk from pretty much any health problem?
We don't need to waste money on the glaringly obvious!! |

Apparently it’s also higher for men and BAME people too.
Do you think there should be research as to why that might be or is that also glaringly obvious? |

Obesity - malnutrition. Often undernutrition for micronutrients (needed for immune system).
Obesity - more weight on lungs - complicates pneumonia.
There, research done as its already out there.

BAME already under way...led by Sir Trevor Phillips.
Men...already known more propensity to heart problems and similar...also shorter life expectancy, more likely to smoke |
