Interesting use of tech in Dubai , metro and office building entrances have scanners fitted now that auto detect your temperature. Also cameras used to issue fines if you are caught shipping without wearing mask. It’s a shame our government aren’t as clever and getting back to business as usual |

This is not really clever at all. For one thing people cab have the virus and not show anu symptoms. Even a fever so the scanners are useless and we are not a country happy to wear face masks as a rule unlike certain Asian countries and again little evidence to show they keep the virus away. Both your ideas flawed iam sorry to say. I personally think Boris is doing a good job despite the shortfalls. |

We also don't condemn quarter of a million migrant workers to living in poverty under the kafala system, or systematically detain and torture critics of the rulers so swings and roundabouts I suppose. |

Tech will be used in all sorts of ways to reduce the spread of CV19. There's all sorts of options available but they will be assessed on a cost & effectiveness basis. I say a photo of a UV cleaner fitted to the rail of an escalator, China has been replacing the button panels in lifts with light sensitive displays. Heat sensitive cameras are not new, but can be deployed in a different way. ATMs, pedestrian crossing buttons and door handles will all have to be repurposed. |
