I have not changed my habbits so much, as I worked from home anyway, but was never the most healthy/active to begin with.
I like my curves anyway and have no intentions on being "fit"
People should just get through it however they can.
If fitness is their thing, go for it!
If slobbing makes you happy, enjoy |

I've not really changed my habits, I'm eating the same diet and exercising still.
I feel awful, physically and mentally if I'm not healthy so I'm sticking with it |

I never used to do f*ck all before lockdown so Ive absolutely no intention of taking up jogging and drinking wheat grass smoothies now. Dont you realise there's a national emergency on? Wheres your Dunkirk spirit man? Open a bottle of stout, eat a bacon sarnie and have another fag for gods sake... |

Actually dont spend this time telling other people how to get through this time would probably be far better advice.
Sorry if that sounds harsh Shag, it's not meant to as I know you mean well and like youni believe physical health is massively important. But for those struggling to cope this sort of well intentioned lifestyle advice is really counterproductive. |

If you wanna eat less and work out that’s great, if you wanna snack more and exercise less that that’s cool too. It’s not about ‘excuses’ it’s about doing whatever makes you feel better and no one is in a position to judge anyone else |

I fing him a bit condescending in some of his vids. There is no doubt he is gym fit etc but he puts down so many others to get his view across.
I have found exercising to be a great benefit to my mental health and general wellbeing since all this started but I do still love a good slob about day too.
Whatever gets you through it |

It's maintaining your personality that's important.
I enjoy what a lot of you say and that speaks volumes of who you are.
This I find attractive about you girls in isolation as being single can get very depressing.

Agreed. Yes my mental health *can* feel better if I go for a waddle and come back a sweaty mess (I know I'm pure fap material). Likewise, some days I want to stay in and not do much and that's okay to. |

I think for some this period of lockdown has given them the opportunity to step off the treadmill and for the first time in their life do nothing. There are huge mental and physical benefits attached to being able to just sit and reflect on life free of obligation. I took early retirement 6 years ago and spent a long period just doing nothing at all after years of chasing my own tail. I recommend it. |

I've put on over 20lb in the last 5 weeks.. yet I'm more active than normal well kinda.
I'd normally be swimming once or twice a day and have several long club sessions... I cant walk for anywhere near as long as I can swim or have sex for as I end up in serious pain.
I'm finding a lot of time for sitting and stuffing my face as I cant do stuff that I normally do |

I’ve build a gym in the garage now ... and get up before work each morning for a 5K run - lunch I do a 2 set circuit in the gym - then a 3 set after work .. it’s helping me give the day routine and giving me something to focus on .. |

I think it makes sense to keep our bodies and kinds healthy , especially now as this virus is here to stay and you are at a greater risk if death if unhealthy.
I try to balance things out , I can’t be good every day but I want to try not to gain too much weight and slip into really bad habits |

Too right the NHS needs more angina and heart attacks to deal with
Perhaps try inhaling butane
But not whilst smoking please

I dont think shag is being preachy
For some it could be a simple excuse his words can be seen as encouraging and a warning for those who DO want to maintain their health
For others indeed lockdown is not an excuse it's a damn well deserved rest yet even for those if they WANT to be healthy then suggesting they dont lapse into a permanent habit is good advice
Health in my opinion is just about habit the advice is for those who ARE habitually conscious about their health not to form a new habit
For anyone not concerned about their health this is not really for you and absolutely nothing wrong with putting feet up eat drink and smoking it's your choice

I'm doing the same as I did before the lockdown.
A three mile jog each morning around the local lake.
Two forty five minute cardio sessions at distant points of the day.
Weights every other day.
Blip tests 3 times per week.
Sundays is always a pilates day |

My eating habits and exercise are pretty much the same as before (although resistance bands rather than gym now). I was going to use it as an opportunity to clean up my diet, if I don’t buy junk I can’t eat it. But sod that, I need comfort and pleasure wherever I can find it
If you think about Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, we may feel like our basic safety and security needs are not being met at the moment.
Esteem needs, relating to prestige and feelings of accomplishment, are higher up the heirarchy and aren’t a priority until our more basic needs are met. There are issues with Maslow’s theory but really, we are not geared towards living our best lives at the moment. So don’t worry about not coming out of this totally transformed and ripped, just do what you need to get through it |
