Not sure she has the intelligence to understand "taking the piss" She is simply a blot on humanity...akin to Trump in many ways.

Her self employed job, is to create a controversial aside and then hope it gets some traction, so This Morning or some other programme pays her for a 15 minute argument with a NHS Doctor or Nurse.

She’s lost a big liable trial, her cushy radio job and I believe she was close to Bankruptcy at one time. So she needs the money.

I truly wish people would just ignore her, then she doesn’t get those TV fees and is left to actually work for her living.

It's people like her that we all should sit back in our lockdown times and think to ourselves...right. We've have time to reflect... there is a load of oxygen thieves in this world who do not warrant our attention..and just cut them off...the same goes for business, trade and environmental issues..

We should try to come out of this using it as personal and humanitarian springboard to hit reset....

Possibly the people who are slashing ambulance tyres and damaging nurses' cars.

What people have to realise about Katie Hopkins, is controversy. It's her business model. She would literally say anything to get some attention and get in the news. I don't actually believe she believes half the the things she says. She must scan newspapers to find things to be controversial about. It's a business model that hides a woeful lack of any talent whatsoever.

Wearing the gloves, masks and gowns they don't have to dance in.

Does dancing cause the PPE to disintegrate?

I'm not sure of the answer to that one. I haven't yet conducted the necessary scientific tests.

Was there a purpose to your question ?

Yep.

Well her financial problems stem from her losing a libel case caused by her professional trolling.

And then there's always this from 2018:

Katie Hopkins has won an IPSO complaint against the Mirror after it wrongly claimed she had been detained in South Africa over drug use. She was in fact being held for "spreading racial hatred""

Phew, I bet she was relieved it wasn’t for drug use

"So, because we all agree that Katie Hopkins is a nasty piece of work / evil / insert whatever adjective you feel is appropriate, we are quite happy for ventilators to be used as props in a dance?

Do they damage the ventilators?make them irreparable?"

Is this relevant?

What I’m trying to point out is that people you fundamentally disagree with can still make occasional valid points if you only open your mind a little

Yes they can. All nurses should now be banned from dancing and ‘prattling ‘ about because Katie Hopkins has made a valid point? Or , we ignore what she is saying and let her nurses have fun? Your decision

Apology from the Mirror: "A previous version of this article suggested that Katie Hopkins was stopped from leaving South Africa because of the consumption of Ketamine. We are happy to clarify that Ms Hopkins was detained for spreading racial hatred, which took place after the Ketamine incident"

What's the valid point?

They work in a hospital..if they post a video there is a fighting chance there is going to be medical equipment in said video?

The woman is an attention seeking whore! Thrives on saying contraversal stuff. As I posted yesterday the tide is, and will turn against NHS staff. This vile creature will fan those flames: nurses getting abuse, tires slashed, passive aggressive notes left on cars, the backlash of being given privileged hours at supermarkets etc. But who is looking after these nurse's mental health? The attention whore doesn't mention that! Cos there will be hell of a lot of broken NHS staff when this is over.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting what she is saying.

I thought she was implying that the ppe is being wasted as its being worn for a dance routine...its being used for a purpose it's not meant to be.

Thats why I asked the question would it cause it to disintegrate.if the answer is no then her point is completely invalid surely?

Why shouldn't staff try to lighten the mood for themselves, its unprecedented what is happening globally right now, having to wear ppe for 12 or more hours a day, then going home and worrying if you will pass anything on to your family, the constant sore and cracked hands from continual cleaning believe me it gets you down, so if some want to take 5 minutes to try and get some positivity out of a bad situation then let them.

I've spoken to many people recently regarding this, many are for it but the ones who are getting sick of it are the ones who right now are safe at home in the sunshine with their families.

It's tough for everybody, hopefully the tide will turn soon and we can all get back to normal...

Of course, I don’t remember saying otherwise . You have 3 ‘main’ choices, like the videos and feel happy about nurses enjoying themselves in a stressful environment . Dislike the videos and think the nurses shouldn’t be dancing in PPE etc and should stop ‘Prattling about ‘ and get on with the job or you don’t really care what they are doing . I know my choice, what is yours ?

"As I posted yesterday the tide is, and will turn against NHS staff.

I agree, and should be addressed by responsible NHS managers

So we have to pacify the horrible and twisted people who are attacking the NHS and their staff.

Why would a cancer patient who has received notification their treatment has been cancelled be considered horrible and twisted for maybe not being overly happy to see synchronised dance routines being broadcast on tic thing, featuring groups of staff from their local hospital "

You do realise that the only people cancer treatment has cancelled for are those that having treatment puts them more at risk? Hospitals are still operating as normal and are still available for non covid patients. I'm sick of seeing this statement about cancer patients not being treated. The reason treatment has been delayed is due to the treatment attacking the immune system (hence hair loss etc) if a patients immune system is low due to chemo then they contract covid it will kill them.

So I've had a quick look through my trusts staff page where a lot of dancing etc is published. The only times I can see medical equipment and ppe being used is when giving a guard of honour to a discharged covid patient.

I do think that trusts should ensure any videos that are shared show staff socially distancing and not wearing ppe when not needed. My trust have really pushed this point across to all staff so I do agree that some points made are correct. However NHS staff are humans too and are stressed to the hilt and do need to let off steam.

Yes Lionel, you were right all along and won at foruming again. Well done...except the minute you saw the name KH your sole intention was to discredit anything and everything she may have said.

If the OP had been along the lines of ‘KH says because it’s Friday today it must be Saturday tomorrow’ your default setting would have been to look for a way to prove her wrong because of the ideology that you must oppose everything she says.

You may have guessed that I like to play Devil’s Advocate in these debates, but I also think it’s important to highlight that bigotry isn’t exclusive to where you sit on the political spectrum.

"Her self employed job, is to create a controversial aside and then hope it gets some traction, so This Morning or some other programme pays her for a 15 minute argument with a NHS Doctor or Nurse.

She’s lost a big liable trial, her cushy radio job and I believe she was close to Bankruptcy at one time. So she needs the money.

I truly wish people would just ignore her, then she doesn’t get those TV fees and is left to actually work for her living. "

Hearing that certainly made my day, the old adage what goes around comes around certainly rings true for this person.

There is a German word Schadenfreude which means to take pleasure in other people's misfortune. Not something I would usually indulge in but in this case I would have a swimming pool of it and dive right in.

As for NHS aren’t they just doing what they are paid to do but having less fag breaks now ?

So far I have gone out every Thursday evening at 8.00 pm and clapped our NHS and care workers for the wonderful job they are doing in this unprecedented time we are in.I would however question is it really wise to do a dance routine and put it on social media.Yes they may want to let of steam during these unprecedented times but try telling that to a family who have a loved one battling this virus or that have lost a loved to this virus.

I don’t smoke personally and it would be quite difficult to take a fag break during an operation. To be brutally honest there are many days that I don’t even get my lunch break because of operations taking longer than planned. I do agree though that we are only doing our job.

And what about the patients who aren't dying but are in hospital not able to see their families? Feeling a bit down and needing a pick me up? I've worked on covid wards where the less seriously ill are..I've worked on hdu aswell where the more seriously ill are. No mucking about there bit.on the ward there's been a real feel of we all in this together from staff from all different areas coming to work together to our patients being made to feel part of our work family til they can get back to their own. . You make a fair and valid point and if you are going to do a little song and dance perhaps just do it for the patients as you said they could do with a pick me up did it really have to go on social media. However when you put something like that out on social media it can work for you or against you.My first thought was that it was wrong to put it out on social media and what would people think when all we hear are NHS staff are been over worked and underfunded. However I will admit it doesn’t appear to have had too much of a negative effect on the NHS and yes all been well I will be out clapping the NHS & careworkers again next Thursday at 8.00 pm

I’m a nurse of 16 and although I personal wouldn’t do a dance routine because I can’t dance I see no problem with others doing when on breaks as a way of relieving stress. I’ve seen many of these videos on TikTok and they’re not dancing in areas where patients and visitors are so no harm.

I know plenty of patients both dead and alive that wouldn’t complain over this. In fact a few would ask for a personal show to help pass the time and boredom of being unwell on ward. And many of those passing judgement spend a day with these nursing staff as then they would see what it’s like. So thank you for your kind words. As an nhs nurse

I fully accept that some will view this as unprofessional behavior in the middle of a pandemic, but I challenge anyone in Katie Hopkins-land to do 14 or 16 hour shifts, for 2 or 3 weeks without a break, amid suffering and death, without doing something to stop themselves going completely insane. I have personally transported over 2 dozen bodies in the last 5 days, and I have another 10 days on shift ahead of me. We are only human, trying to be normal in a totally abnormal situation. I have both halves of my brain.

I am happily confident that Hatie Kopkins is a moral vacuum, a woman whose apparnet intelligence is rendered entirely useless by her lack of a moral compass and empathy.

I didn't think I could ever love a leftie lezzer cook like Jack Monroe more, but when she won the libel case against Kopkins I raised a glass to them, and I will always. You've got to laugh. kopkins wanted to pick a fight with a queer, and managed to find the one who used to work in the fire service, and who's much loved dad is an ex para with an MBE for being anice bloke. When it comes to picking a fight she's the dickhead who tried to mug Crocodile Dundee and got the full 'call that a knife' routine...

Kopkins wants to claim she's a journo, or a commentator, or rebellious thought leader, but actually, she's shit at it. She's lost every job she ever had, she fought a libel case and lost when even my dog could have told her she was going to get slaughtered, and guess what? Now she wants to slag of nurses and health care workers who're having a bit of a laugh to help their morale.

She really is that shit. Those people trying to save your relatives lives? Kopkins think's her opinion matters over their need to have a laugh. Tempting to tell her to fuck off, but actually, best thing to do is to call a psychologist. That level of self harm needs clinical expertise.

"I fully accept that some will view this as unprofessional behavior in the middle of a pandemic, but I challenge anyone in Katie Hopkins-land to do 14 or 16 hour shifts, for 2 or 3 weeks without a break, amid suffering and death, without doing something to stop themselves going completely insane. I have personally transported over 2 dozen bodies in the last 5 days, and I have another 10 days on shift ahead of me. We are only human, trying to be normal in a totally abnormal situation. We need to let iff steam, we need to use sometime black humour to cope. In the words of captain Hawkeye Pearce from MASH, “it’s a wonder we don’t all link hands and walk in to a chopper blade”. I challenge that woman to try and find a way of coping with those situations herself. Oh wait... yes.. she has her release..... her and Trump take to Twitter to slag off everyone else

The nurse of 35years posting in the thread doesn’t dance at work to cope with the situation ..."

I’m a nurse of 16 yrs and I don’t dance out of personal preference and not being able too. But I have no issue with others using to cope. People have a variety of different ways of getting through the shit times. So because one nurse stands up and says it’s wrong that’s how it must be? That’s bull.
