Why is everyone so surprised ?
Maybe when lockdown eases people can still meet ( I don't mean sexy meet ) but just keep their distance.
If you have mates over , sitting six feet apart isn't a fucking chasm.......

To be honest, I expected we’d be here some way into next year.

I wonder how clubs like Chams can survive - the loss of income for 6 months must be difficult to sustain for anybody - especially as rates will still need paying. We enjoyed it's facilities on many occasions!! |

Of course, Covid is not just going to disappear. Social distancing measures were put in place to protect the NHS from becoming overwhelmed.
It will be a long while until things return to ‘normal’ but thread like these just cause people to worry and are not based on fact.
I doubt very much that current restrictions will continue past summer- we have already seen the increase in people breaking restrictions will only increase the longer it goes on, it’s not sustainable.
As to what’s the point in a site like this? Well it won’t go on forever, people will once again be able to have sex with strangers |

The only thing I’d like to see happen is a relaxing of the current social distancing so I can see family & friends properly as opposed to conversing 2 metres apart.
Would be great to freely move around, shop with ease and go to the pub but I’m not counting on any of that happening soon.
It is what it is... |

As people have speculated media/social sites etc, After a month or two most things will be back to normal to a point, But large gatherings like pubs/clubs football games etc will take a lot longer before they can happen, I'll be happy to be able to have family/friends gatherings and attend small parties with fab friends within the next few months |

Our thinking is this.... Mixing with family, we would hope we could judge which of our family is taking this seriously and keeping up social distancing so we could meet up. If we knew of any of our family that couldn't give a shit we just wouldn't be getting close to them. As for work we will be making sure as we go forward OUR social distancing will continue. Well pubs are a different entity, we don't know most or what they are doing in their lives, as we can see from this forum there are people who are taking no notice of staying home and these are the ignorant people who are putting all our safety in the foreseeable future at risk. Our opinion is people need to be assertive and outspoken in the months ahead. Folk would say to us in the past they love us as they know where they stand with us as we speak our minds. We know from experience that when your mind gets spoken to said people they don't liike you anymore due to truth sometimes is hard to hear. This means that upsetting the disrespectful people in the future is the way we'll be going as we need to keep both of us safe and others. We are all going to need to change the way we mix in the near future and where we are going to feel safest. This is in no way going to be keeping us or anyone else 100% safe but trying to limit the risk until some sort of medical intervention or vaccine is available. Its all about personal risk assessments. None of us know what the new normal is going to look like in the near future. Stay Safe everyone and to those who just don't care about anyone or the NHS hopefully you all don't cause all us respectful people to suffer more than we need to Wow that was an essay..... |

Well we might as well stay locked up forever then as the virus is out there now and always will be
Ok in time a vaccine will be found but can you imagine how long it’s gonna take to vaccinate the whole country all 64 million of us and let’s be honest how many people get the flu jab every year and we could all easily get it and that kills more people globally every year than anything
It’s a tough one but I think we all still gotta live our lives or we have the potential of being stuck as our own prisoners forever ! |

Me neither. Mental health and sensible risk assessing will be in order I think x "
It simply isnt doable.. people can't social distance for that long. I'd be very very surprised I'd past October things aren't open..with restrictions but open |

I think (and hope) Chams will beone of the clubs most likely to survive this. It's the best club (in our opinion) with a loyal customer base. Businesses are getting rates holidays and loans to help them through this.

All the people that have stayed in and done as they’re told to help the nhs will reconsider. I’ve stayed home. I have been near no one....but I can tell you now that I will be the first going to see all my loved ones that are healthy |

Not a fucking chance.. Sick to death of reading all the hype and fiddled figures.
Back to normal for those that are low risk. High risk lockdown and all that are caring for them.. Shut borders, repatriated and 3 weeks isolation on returning to the UK.
Daily tests for all the vulnerable and staff /carers around them..
Within a month it would have been contained
Now we've got.....
This
It's bollocks |

Building merchants are all opening up too loads of them...loads of people going and using them just like the masses at B&Q. So it’s already all happening |

I will probably have forgotten how to do sex by next year.
My confidence will be -10.
I will probably be agoraphobic.
My mild autism will be acute.
I will be overweight or really skinny.
I will cease to exist.

cant keep everything locked down forever can we ? 9 weeks or 12 weeks has to be the limit .. there is a high chance most of us will get this virus 'one day' anyway no matter how much we try to avoid it .. so trying to avoid it now and being frightened of eachother after the peak has passed etc has passed is futile .. I absolutely wont be trying to stick to SD rules etc around people I know and love .. cant be done and I doubt if peopel will keep it up for very long .. you arent living life if you are locking yourself away from the world and people in everyday life . lonliness, isolation and lack of human contact of any kind is a worse killer than any virus I would suggest .. life must go on and we must take the risk so we can keep enjoying it .. thats how I am looking at it anyway |

You can have a meet over now if you want. As long as they don't travel more than 10 minutes drive to get to you. But they have to come live with you for a minimum of three weeks, and then can't see anyone else for at least three weeks.
Bit of a long term investment for a quick shag... |

Exactly this. Out of the house fair enough, but I'm sure we can make our own assessment on how to manage the risk at home. |

Let's face it, this is all speculation. Even the timing is uncertain, so the details will develop over the next few weeks.
Starting with whatever the clown in chief announces next week.
It's likely that social distancing will continue, but that we will be allowed close contact with a small group (friends, family).
Now how that could possibly be policed is anybodies guess. |

The way I understand it, if they release us slightly but keep the social distancing limitations, we could still see family and friends, just not get close or physical with people. |

The anti body test will probably arrive before the vaccination if there ever is a vaccination,we believe the antibody test is the way out of this least people who’s had it will not have to worry and they won’t be able to give it to others they can be catalyst to get the UK out of what will be one economic mess of which we have not seen since the 30s |

We don't know what the government rules will be and even then, we will make our own.
Other countries are starting to relax rules and we will learn, being behind them. I think Italy is planning bars to open in June, which seems as an outsider to be too soon.
You can get creative. Observing is 1 option. Get into some open countryside together but distanced, perhaps a good sized group. Role play can work without contact too. |
