So reading a article from sky, also available on all newspapers.
It appears after studies from china that there is 30 strains of COVID-19.
We and the rest of Europe and New York have got the most lethal strain.
Washington in the USA got a very milder strain with people flying to the west coast from china.
Link below
https://news.sky.com/story/coronavirus-has-mutated-into-more-than-30-strains-say-scientists-in-china-11976380
Now does this make sense or do you think its Chinese propaganda? |

"Did you have a look at the link?
It could explain how it seems a lot worse here, and alone the death rate in china..."
Yes I had a look at the link, I'm not discounting but just saying it still needs peer review. This why its only on medrviv so far. |

China figures are not accurate
I’ve heard 2 million mobile phones haven’t been used in China
That’s a lot of people suddenly stopped using there phones
Maybe conspiracy |

It is a bit unusual for a deadlier strain to be more "successful" than a milder one. Being deadly or causing diseases is an evolutionary failure for a virus.

You can't think of any other reason why people might have decided they didn't need a phone contract? |

Where is the 2 million figure from?"
It's the number of Chinese phone numbers cancelled during lockdown. It's not the figure that's wrong, it's the assumption that people are dead rather than just cancelling a phone contract they aren't going to use whilst locked in their house. |

Ah but in defense...would that not be the time you'd need your phone most? |

It's a tiny percentage of the phones in China, it's not exactly rare to have multiple phone numbers for side hussles and affairs etc. There's no welfare there so if you're getting locked indoors for 2 months then it's not unreasonable to cancel as many outgoings as possible. People in the UK have done the same whilst they wait for universal credit to kick in... |

It was contract phones so maybe people couldn't afford to pay their bills if they were laid off from work |

I read the other day on the WHO website that there were three main strains of covid 19.
Strain A is the original strain and has some cases in China but is the predominant strain in Australia and the US.
Strain B is the predominant strain in China,Europe and Canada.
Strain C first appeared in Hong Kong and Singapore and is the main cause of cases in Italy.

Exactly! Quoting "this reputable organisation says so", doesn't mean they actually said the thing you are saying |

Please please please stop spreading such utter bile because you read something on a major multi national media source. NOBODY knows anything for certain it’s too soon to have analysed all the data and for It to be peer reviewed fully. It’s all SPECULATION. Stop spreading anxiety feeding nonsense. Rather than reading sky news. Try reading up on how mainstream media works and how the vast majority of media outlets are owned by less that a handful of people. Then ask yourself what they have to gain from people spreading such nonsense they no nothing about because as I’ve said it’s still too early |

"30 strains of Covid 19 or 30 strains of Corona virus?
I'm pretty certain it's the latter, lots of different Corona virus, the common cold is a Corona Virus."
It's this.....the 3 strains of Covid19 are all very similar and would all be treated by one vaccine....IF one can be developed....it still may not be. There is treatment for HIV....but no vaccine after god knows how many years and how many billions spent trying for one.... |

The evidence to give credibility to is when it's been peer reviewed, as another has said. Thanks op for highlighting this as if it's mutating more than had been thought, it may be tougher to get a vaccine in place, as well as it causing more devastation. |
