Work dilemma

The past few weeks, I've been kept back at work (as a non key worker I might add), to keep the engineering company viable, while everyone else (about 150) have been furloughed off. I'm one of only 5 there.

My question is;

If I became poorly with the virus, would I be sent home on SSP?, or 80% of my salary?.......which would be a damn sight more!!

I'd say SSP..... you're working full time and I assume on FULL pay and paying a full stamp.

It would be up to the company what tbey decide to pay you but more than likely it would be SSP.

My company as i'm a keyworker have stated they would pay 10weeks nomal contracted hours and you'd have to take 2 extra weeks as holiday pay and anytime off after that would be SSP with a certified Dr's note

If you have a contract of employment it would be SSP.

It depends on your contact. Either company sick pay or SSP but definitely not 80%
